Abstract

Claims (14)
- 음극과 양극 사이에 적어도 발광층과 전자 수송층을 포함하는 적층 구성을 갖는 유기 전기 발광 소자로서,상기 발광층을 형성하는 호스트 재료의 3중항 에너지 갭 값(EgT)은 2.52eV 이상 3.7eV 이하이고,상기 전자 수송층을 형성하는 전자 수송 재료는 상기 호스트 재료와 다른 재료이며 정공 수송능을 보유하고,상기 발광층에는 인광성 발광성이고 중금속을 갖는 금속 착체 화합물을 추가로 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 유기 전기 발광 소자.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,상기 전자 수송층을 형성하는 전자 수송 재료의 이온화 포텐셜(Ip)이 5.6eV 이상 6.0eV 미만인 것을 특징으로 하는 유기 전기 발광 소자.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,상기 전자 수송층을 형성하는 전자 수송 재료가 적어도 전자 결핍성의 질소함유 5원환 유도체 또는 질소함유 6원환 유도체인 것을 특징으로 하는 유기 전기 발광 소자.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,상기 전자 수송 재료가, 5원환 또는 6원환으로 이루어진 질소함유 방향 다환족기를 갖고, 질소원자가 복수개인 경우는 인접하지 않은 결합 위치에 질소원자를 갖는 골격을 갖는 유기 화합물인 것을 특징으로 하는 유기 전기 발광 소자.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,상기 전자 수송성 재료 또는 상기 호스트 재료가 카바졸릴기 또는 테트라하이드로카바졸릴기를 1개 갖는 화합물인 것을 특징으로 하는 유기 전기 발광 소자.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,상기 전자 수송성 재료 또는 상기 호스트 재료가 카바졸릴기 또는 테트라하이드로카바졸릴기를 2개 갖는 화합물인 것을 특징으로 하는 유기 전기 발광 소자.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,상기 전자 수송성 재료 또는 상기 호스트 재료가 카바졸릴기 또는 테트라하이드로카바졸릴기, 및 질소함유 헤테로환기를 갖는 화합물인 것을 특징으로 하는 유기 전기 발광 소자.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,발광층을 형성하는 호스트 재료의 이온화 포텐셜과, 상기 발광층과 계면을 이루는 전자 수송층을 형성하는 전자 수송 재료의 이온화 포텐셜의 차이(ΔIp=Ip(전자 수송 재료)-Ip(호스트 재료))가 -0.2eV<ΔIp<0.4eV인 것을 특징으로 하는 유기 전기 발광 소자.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,복수의 전자 수송층을 갖는 것을 특징으로 하는 유기 전기 발광 소자.
- 제 10 항에 있어서,상기 복수의 전자 수송층의 각 층을 형성하는 전자 수송 재료의 광학 에너지 갭 값(Eg)이 발광층과 계면을 이루는 전자 수송층으로부터 음극을 향하여 동등하거나 또는 작게 되어 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 유기 전기 발광 소자.
- 제 10 항에 있어서,상기 복수의 전자 수송층의 각 층을 형성하는 전자 수송 재료의 3중항 에너지 갭 값이 발광층과 계면을 이루는 전자 수송층으로부터 음극을 향하여 동등하거나 또는 작게 되어 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 유기 전기 발광 소자.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,발광층과 계면을 이루는 전자 수송층을 형성하는 전자 수송 재료의 3중항 에너지 갭 값이 상기 발광층의 금속 착체 화합물의 3중항 에너지 갭 값보다 큰 것을 특징으로 하는 유기 전기 발광 소자.
