Claims (11)
- 호칭 드릴 직경(D), 하나 이상의 커팅 그루브(1), 및 공구 팁(8)으로부터 공구 샤프트(9)로 연장되는 하나 이상의 스테이(stay)(2)를 구비하는, 드릴과 같은 회전 구동식 절삭 공구에 있어서,각각의 상기 스테이(2)는 메인 커터(4), 및 상기 공구 팁(8)으로부터 상기 드릴의 반대쪽 단부로 연장되며 중심(M)을 가지는 가상 원(K)에 접하여 감싸는 연속형 단면 윤곽(30, 31, 32, 30X)을 갖는 내부 쿨링 채널(3)을 포함하고,상기 내부 쿨링 채널(3)의 단면 윤곽(30, 31, 32, 30X)은 상기 중심(M)과 드릴 축(A) 사이의 선의 방향에서 상기 드릴 축(A)으로부터의 거리가 상기 중심(M)과 상기 드릴 축(A) 사이의 거리 이상인 하나 이상의 최대 곡률을 포함하고,상기 내부 쿨링 채널(3)과 상기 드릴의 외주(7, 7') 사이, 상기 내부 쿨링 채널(3)과 커팅면(5) 사이, 및 상기 내부 쿨링 채널(3)과 커팅 플랭크(flank)(6) 사이의 최소 벽 두께(dAUX, dSPX, dSFX)가 하한치(Wmin,1, Wmin,2, Wmin,3, Wmin,4)와 상한치(Wmax,1, Wmax,2, Wmax,3) 사이에 있고,상기 하한치는, D≤1㎜에 대하여 0.08×D, D>1㎜에 대하여 0.08 (Wmin,1), 구체적으로는 D≤2.5㎜에 대하여 0.08×D, D>2.5㎜에 대하여 0.08 (Wmin,2), 바람직하게는 D≤3.75㎜에 대하여 0.08×D, D>3.75㎜에 대하여 0.3 (Wmin,3), 예를 들어 D≤3㎜에 대하여 0.1×D, D>3㎜에 대하여 0.3 (Wmin,4)이고,상기 상한치는, D≤6㎜에 대하여 0.35×D, D>6㎜에 대하여 0.4×D-0.30 (Wmax,1), 구체적으로는 D≤6㎜에 대하여 0.333×D, D>6㎜에 대하여 0.4×D-0.30 (Wmax,2), 바람직하게는 D≤6㎜에 대하여 0.316×D, D>6㎜에 대하여 0.4×D-0.50 (Wmax,3), 보다 바람직하게는 D≤6㎜에 대하여 0.3×D, D>6㎜에 대하여 0.4×D-0.60 (Wmax,4), 예를 들어 D≤4㎜에 대하여 0.2×D 또는 0.15×D, D>4㎜에 대하여 0.6 (Wmax,5)이고,상기 내부 쿨링 채널(3)의 상기 단면 윤곽(30, 31, 32, 30X)의 가장 빈틈이 없는 곡률(tightest curvature)에서의 반경(R1, R1', R1", R1X)은 원의 반경(R0)의 0.35배 내지 0.9배, 구체적으로는 0.5배 내지 0.85배, 바람직하게는 0.6배 내지 0.85배, 보다 바람직하게는 0.7배 내지 0.8배, 예를 들어 0.75배인절삭 공구.
- 제1항에 있어서,상기 호칭 직경(D)의 범위는 1㎜ 내지 25㎜, 구체적으로는 1㎜ 내지 16㎜, 바람직하게는 1㎜ 내지 12㎜, 보다 바람직하게는 1㎜ 내지 6㎜인 것을 특징으로 하는 절삭 공구.
- 제1항 또는 제2항에 있어서,상기 커터는 2엽(two-lips) 커터 또는 다엽(multiple-lips) 커터인 것을 특징으로 하는 절삭 공구.
- 제1항 내지 제3항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,상기 내부 쿨링 채널의 상기 단면 윤곽(30, 31, 32, 30X)의 2개의 최대 곡률은 동일한 반경 방향 좌표를 갖는 것을 특징으로 하는 절삭 공구.
- 제1항 내지 제4항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,상기 단면 윤곽(30, 31, 32, 30X)의 2개의 최대 곡률 상의 곡률 반경(R1, R1', R1", R1X)이 동일한 것을 특징으로 하는 절삭 공구.
- 제1항 내지 제5항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,상기 쿨링 채널의 단면적은 상기 드릴 축(A)과 상기 중심(M) 사이의 선에 대하여 대칭인 것을 특징으로 하는 절삭 공구.
- 제1항 내지 제6항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,상기 쿨링 채널의 단면 윤곽(30, 30E)은 상기 드릴 축(A)과 상기 중심(M) 사이의 선에서 보았을 때 상기 커팅면(5)을 향하는 쪽 및 상기 커팅 플랭크를 향하는 쪽으로 타원형이거나, 상기 커팅면(5)을 향하는 쪽 또는 상기 커팅 플랭크를 향하는 쪽으로 타원형이고,상기 타원형의 제1 축(a)과 제2 축(b) 사이의 길이 비율은 1.18 내지 1.65, 보다 바람직하게는 1.25 내지 1.43, 예를 들어 1.33인 것을 특징으로 하는 절삭 공구.
- 제4항 내지 제6항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,상기 내부 쿨링 채널의 단면 윤곽(21, 32, 30I, 30II, 30III)은 상기 드릴 축(A)과 상기 중심(M) 사이의 선의 방향에서 상기 드릴 축(A)으로부터의 거리가 상기 중심(M)으로부터의 거리보다 큰 것을 특징으로 하는 절삭 공구.
- 제8항에 있어서,상기 커팅면(5) 쪽 및/또는 상기 커팅 플랭크(6) 쪽의 상기 내부 쿨링 채널(3)의 단면 윤곽(32, 30)의 최대 곡률 내의 반경 방향으로 직선 부분을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 절삭 공구.
- 제9항에 있어서,상기 직선 부분은 상기 커팅면(5) 또는 상기 커팅 플랭크(6)와 평행하게 연장되는 것을 특징으로 하는 절삭 공구.
- 제1항 내지 제10항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,호칭 직경(D) 대 커팅 부분 길이의 비율이 1:5 내지 1:200인 심공(deep-hole) 드릴로서 설계되는 것을 특징으로 하는 절삭 공구.
