- SiOH-그룹과 반응성을 가지면서 쉽게 변형될 수 표면을 가진 붕규산염 유리(borosilicate glass)를 생산하기 위한 방법에 있어서,유리 융해물(a glass melt)이 생산되고, 그리고 물이 유리 1리터에 대하여 적어도 물 30mMol의 양으로 상기 유리 융해물 내에서 용해되는 것을 특징으로 하는 유리를 생산하기 위한 방법.
- 청구항 1에 있어서,상기 물은 수화된 출발 물질(hydrous starting materials)을 통하여 첨가되는 것을 특징으로 하는 유리를 생산하기 위한 방법.

- 청구항 1 내지 청구항 4 중의 어느 하나의 항에 있어서,생산되는 유리가 플로트 유리인 것을 특징으로 하는 유리를 생산하기 위한 방법.
- 청구항 1 내지 청구항 5 중의 어느 하나의 항에 있어서,상기 유리는 SiO270 내지 87 중량%, B2O37 내지 15 중량%, Al2O30 내지 8 중량%, Na2O 0 내지 8 중량%, K2O 0 내지 8 중량% 및 필요한 경우 다른 구성 성분을 0 내지 8 중량%를 포함하는 유리를 생산하는 방법.
- 청구항 1 내지 청구항 6 중의 어느 하나의 항에 있어서,상기 유리는 독성을 가지지 않는 정련 작용제에 의하여 생산되는 것을 특징으로 하는 유리를 생산하는 방법.
- 청구항 1 내지 청구항 7 중의 어느 하나의 항에 있어서,상기 유리는 알카리 이온을 포함하는 유리를 생산하는 방법.
- 청구항 1 내지 청구항 8 중의 어느 하나의 항에 있어서,상기 유리는 150 ppm 보다 작은 Fe2O3및 5 ppm 보다 작은 Cr3+를 포함하는 유리를 생산하는 방법.
- 청구항 1 내지 청구항 9 중의 어느 하나의 항에 있어서,적어도 유리 표면의 일부분이 물질 내 반응성 그룹을 가진 SiOH 그룹의 화학적 반응성을 이용하여 적어도 하나의 물질로서 코팅되는 것을 특징으로 하는 유리를 생산하는 방법.
- 청구항 1 내지 청구항 10 중의 어느 하나에 의하여 생산된 유리.
- 반응성 물질의 화학적 공유 부동화(covalent immobilization)를 위한 기판으로서 본 발명에 따라서 생산된 유리의 사용.
- 센서 및 바이오칩, 방진 유리(dirt-proof glasses), 특히 Duran(등록상표)과 같은 윈도우 유리, 실험실 유리, 반응시약 유리, 전자 노이즈 및/또는 인공 노이즈 칩, 전자 음성(electronic tongues) 및 폴리머라제-연쇄 반응, DNA-마이크로어레이 칩 및/또는 유전자 칩, 단백질 칩 및 "생화학적 실험실" 상의 칩과 같은 마이크로어레이를 생산하기 위한 청구항 12의 유리의 사용.
