Abstract

PURPOSE: A power steering hose composition for a low pressure is provided, to improve the heat resistance and the durability by employing a chlorinated polyethylene rubber to inner and outer side rubbers. CONSTITUTION: The hose composition comprises an inner side rubber(1) comprising a nitrile butadiene rubber; a polyethylene-based flaky fiber layer(2); and an outer side rubber(3) comprising a chloroprene rubber, wherein the inner side rubber and the outer side rubber contain the chlorinated polyethylene rubber whose Cl content is 35-40 wt% as a main component. Preferably the inner side rubber comprises 100 parts by weight of the chlorinated polyethylene rubber; 50-65 parts by weight of carbon black; 28-32 parts by weight of a process oil; 23-27 parts by weight of zinc oxide; 18-22 parts by weight of an antiaging agent; 2.5-3.5 a vulcanizing accelerator; and 0.5-0.6 parts by weight of a vulcanizing agent. Preferably the outer side rubber comprises 100 parts by weight of the chlorinated polyethylene rubber; 50-65 parts by weight of carbon black; 28-32 parts by weight of a process oil; 18-22 parts by weight of zinc oxide; 18-22 parts by weight of an antiaging agent; 2.5-3.5 a vulcanizing accelerator; and 0.5-0.6 parts by weight of a vulcanizing agent. Preferably the carbon black is the fast extrusion furnace carbon black.
