Abstract

PURPOSE: A method of manufacturing a combination cable of optical fiber and copper wire is provided to simplify separation of an optical fiber tube from a copper unit by positioning the optical fiber tube and the copper unit in parallel. CONSTITUTION: Copper wires are coated with plastic such as polyethylene or polypropylene and spirally twisted into at least 4 pairs. The copper wire pairs are applied with coats such as Polyvinyl Chloride(PVC), fire retardant polyethylene and common polyethylene. The copper wire pairs are divided into two units, and the units are connected via a web(14). Optical fiber tubes are inserted into gaps between the copper wire units. Each of the optical fiber tubes includes an optical fiber(15) inserted into a tube(17) and a water proof composite(16) filled into the tube. A lip cord wire(19) is inserted onto the optical fiber tube. A combination unit of optical fiber/copper wire is shelled.
