Abstract
Description
도 1은 황철석을 처리하고 원소 황 및 산화철을 생성하고, 또한 황철석 광물 격자의 일부인 비금속 또는 귀금속을 회수하도록 통합되어 있는 다수의 회로를 포함하는 공정의 일 실시 예에 대한 블록도를 도시한다.
도 2는 황철석을 처리하고 원소 황 및 산화철을 생성하고, 또한 황철석 광물 격자의 일부를 형성하는 코발트 금속을 회수하도록 통합되어 있는 다수의 회로를 포함하는 공정의 일 실시 예에 대한 블록도를 도시한다.
도 3은 아르곤(Argon) 분위기 하에서 열처리 되는 황철석 농축물에 대한 다양한 온도에서의 X- 선 회절 프로파일을 도시한다.

Claims (16)
- 금속, 원소 황 및 Fe2O3를 회수하기 위하여 황철석-함유 물질을 처리하는 방법으로서,
(a) 황철석-함유 물질을 열분해하여 자황철석을 포함하는 물질을 생성 및 원소 황 물질을 분리하는 단계;
(b) 제이철(ferric) 양이온과 산소를 포함하는 산성 용액으로 상기 단계(a)로부터의 자황철석을 포함하는 물질을 침출시키는 단계로서, 침출 조건은 제이철 양이온이 자황철석을 산화시켜 금속이 자황철석을 포함하는 물질로부터 방출되고, 자황철석 내 철이 산소의 존재 하에서 산화되어 Fe2O3를 형성하고, 자황철석 내 황이 금속으로부터 분리되고 Fe2O3로부터 분리 가능한 형태의 원소 황으로 산화되도록 조절되는 것인, 방법.
- 제1항에 있어서,
산소를 상기 침출 단계(b)에 첨가하여 Fe2O3를 형성하고, 상기 Fe2O3가 원소 황 고체와 함께 상기 침출 단계(b)로부터 제거되는 것인 방법.
- 제1항에 있어서,
상기 침출 단계(b)에서 자황철석을 포함하는 물질은 이를 산성 수용액과 혼합함으로써 산으로 침출되고, 여기서 상기 금속은 용액으로 방출되어 회수되는 것인 방법.
- 제3항에 있어서,
상기 침출 단계(b)의 용액이 NaCl, NaBr, CaCl2 및 CaBr2 중의 하나 또는 다수를 포함하는 금속 할로겐화물 용액을 포함하는 것인 방법.
- 제4항에 있어서,
상기 침출 단계(b)의 용액은 용액 리터당 1 내지 10몰 범위의 농도를 갖는 할로겐화물 수용액을 포함하는 것인 방법.
- 제3항에 있어서,
상기 침출 단계(b)에서의 용액 pH가 -1 내지 3.5의 범위로 제어되어 Fe2O3로서 철의 침전을 촉진시키는 것인 방법.
- 제3항에 있어서,
상기 침출 단계(b)에서의 용액 온도가 95-220℃의 범위 내로 제어되는 것인 방법.
- 제3항에 있어서,
상기 산이 산성 할로겐화물 수용액을 포함하는 경우, 상기 침출 단계(b)에서의 용액 온도는 95 내지 150℃의 범위로 제어되고,
상기 산이 산성 황산염 수용액을 포함하는 경우, 상기 침출 단계(b)에서의 용액 온도는 150 내지 220℃의 범위로 제어되는 것인 방법.
- 제1항에 있어서,
상기 침출 단계(b)를 1-20 ATM 사이의 고압에서 조작하는 것인 방법.
- 제2항에 있어서,
Fe2O3 및 원소 황 고체가 각각 회수되어 황 및 산화철 회수 단계로 전달되는 것인 방법.
- 제3항에 있어서,
상기 용액을 상기 단계(b)로부터 금속 회수 단계로 전달하되, 상기 금속은 상기 용액으로부터 분리되고 이어서 상기 용액은 상기 침출 단계(b)로 재순환되는 단계를 더 포함하는 방법.
- 제11항에 있어서,
상기 용액이 상기 침출 단계(b)로 재순환되기 전에, 염산 및 황산을 포함하는 군으로부터 선택된 산의 첨가에 의해 용액의 산성도가 재생되는 것인 방법.
- 제1항 내지 제12항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 단계(a)에서 생성된 원소 황이 회수되고 침출 단계(b)에서 생성된 원소 황과 결합하는 것인, 방법.
