도 2는 구동 트랜지스터의 문턱전압(Vth)이 네가티브 시프트되는 정도에 따라 발생하는 휘점 불량 정도를 도시한 도면이다.
도 3은 종래 유기발광 표시장치가 저계조일 때 발생되는 휘점들을 표시한 도면이다.
도 4는 본 발명에 따른 유기발광 표시장치의 구조를 도시한 블럭도이다.
도 5는 본 발명에 따른 유기발광 표시장치의 화소와 센싱 회로의 구성도이다.
도 6은 본 발명에 따른 휘도보상회로의 구조를 도시한 블럭도이다.
도 7은 본 발명에 따라 유기발광 표시장치의 휘도 보상 및 구동 방법을 설명하기 위한 플로챠트이다.

Claims (7)
- 각 화소에 유기발광 다이오드에 구동 전류를 공급하는 구동 트랜지스터를 구비하는 표시패널;
상기 화소와 접속된 게이트 라인들이 구동하는 게이트 드라이버;
센싱 모드에서, 상기 화소와 접속된 데이터 라인에 센싱 전압을 인가하여 상기 구동 트랜지스터를 통해 센싱 전류가 흐르도록 하는 데이터 드라이버; 및
상기 센싱 모드에서 얻어진 센싱 전류를 토대로 상기 구동 트랜지스터의 문턱전압(Vth)의 네가티브 시프트 정보를 얻어 휘점 불량 화소를 결정하고, 상기 휘점 불량 화소에 공급할 보상계조값을 생성하는 휘도보상회로를 포함하는 유기발광 표시장치.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 휘도보상회로는,
상기 구동 트랜지스터의 문턱전압(Vth) 정보가 공급되는 비교부와,
상기 비교부에서 비교한 문턱전압(Vth)들로부터 휘점 불량 화소를 검출하는 휘점 검출부와,
상기 휘점 검출부에서 검출된 휘도 불량 화소 정보를 토대로 보상계조값을 생성하는 보상값 생성부를 포함하는 유기발광 표시장치.
- 제2항에 있어서, 상기 휘점 불량 화소는 상기 구동 트랜지스터의 문턱전압(Vth)이 네가티브 시프트된 정보와 설정된 임계값을 비교하여 결정되는 유기발광 표시장치.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 센싱 모드에서 얻어진 보상계조값은 상기 표시패널이 표시모드일 때, 상기 데이터 라인을 통해 휘점 불량 화소에 공급하여 동작하는 유기발광 표시장치.
- 각 화소에 유기발광 다이오드에 구동 전류를 공급하는 구동 트랜지스터를 구비하는 유기발광 표시장치의 구동 방법에 있어서,
센싱 모드에서, 상기 화소와 접속된 데이터 라인에 센싱 전압을 인가하여 상기 구동 트랜지스터를 통해 센싱 전류가 흐르도록 하는 단계;
상기 센싱 모드에서 얻어진 센싱 전류를 토대로 상기 구동 트랜지스터의 문턱전압(Vth)의 네가티브 시프트 정보를 얻는 단계; 및
상기 문턱전압(Vth)의 네가티브 시프트 정보를 이용하여 휘점 불량 화소를 결정한 다음, 상기 휘점 불량 화소에 공급할 보상계조값을 생성하는 단계를 포함하는 유기발광 표시장치의 구동 방법.
- 제5항에 있어서, 상기 휘점 불량 화소를 결정하는 단계는,
상기 문턱전압(Vth)의 네가티브 시프트와 설정된 임계값과 비교하여 휘점 불량 화소를 결정하는 유기발광 표시장치의 구동 방법.
- 제5항에 있어서, 상기 센싱 모드에서 얻어진 보상계조값은 상기 유기발광 표시장치가 표시모드로 동작할 때, 상기 데이터 라인을 통해 휘점 불량 화소에 공급하는 유기발광 표시장치의 구동방법.
