Abstract
본 발명의 특징은 청색 LED를 포함하는 백라이트 유닛의 도광판의 입광면에 적색 발광나노입자와 녹색 발광나노입자가 혼합된 퀀텀도트를 코팅하는 것이다.
이를 통해, 청색 LED로부터 출사된 청색광은 적색 발광나노입자와 녹색 발광나노입자가 혼합된 퀀텀도트를 통과하는 과정에서 광 특성이 우수한 백색광을 구현하게 된다.
따라서, 액정표시장치의 색재현율을 향상시키게 되므로, 결과적으로 HDTV(High Definition Television)의 색재현율을 나타낸 색좌표계인 BT.709의 색좌표를 만족하게 된다.
또한, 퀀텀도트를 도광판의 입광면에 코팅함으로써, 퀀텀도트를 별도로 구비하기 위한 공정을 삭제할 수 있어, 공정의 효율성을 향상시킬 수 있으며, 퀀텀도트의 파손이 발생하는 것을 방지할 수 있어, 이를 통해 화상의 색재현율을 낮아지거나, 재료비가 증가하게 되는 문제점이 발생하는 것 또한 방지할 수 있다.

Claims (10)
- 반사판과;
상기 반사판 상부에 안착되며, 입광면에 퀀텀도트(quantum dot)가 코팅된 도광판과;
상기 도광판의 입광면을 따라 배열되며, 상기 입광면을 향해 광이 출사되는 다수의 LED와, 상기 다수의 LED가 실장되는 PCB를 포함하는 LED 어셈블리와;
상기 도광판 상에 안착되는 광학시트와;
상기 광학시트 상에 안착되는 액정패널과;
상기 액정패널의 가장자리를 두르는 서포트메인과;
상기 서포트메인 배면과 밀착되는 저면과 상기 저면의 측면으로 구성되는 커버버툼
을 포함하며,
상기 퀀텀도트는 상기 다수의 LED로부터 발광된 광을 여기시켜 백색광을 구현하고,
상기 퀀텀도트는 접착성물질을 통해 상기 도광판의 입광면에 고정되고,
상기 접착성 물질은 상기 퀀텀도트의 상부에서 상기 퀀텀도트를 완전히 감싸고,
상기 접착성물질의 일측부는 상기 퀀텀도트 및 상기 입광면과 접촉하며, 상기 접착성물질의 타측부는 상기 LED의 상기 광이 출사되는 일면과 접촉하는 액정표시장치.

상기 접착성물질은 투명한 액정표시장치.

상기 접착성물질은 일정시간이 경과하면 경화되는 액정표시장치.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,
상기 LED는 청색광을 발산하는 청색 LED이며, 상기 퀀텀도트는 양자고립효과(quantum confinement effect)를 가지는 적색 발광나노입자와 녹색 발광나노입자가 혼합된 액정표시장치.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,
상기 LED는 청색광을 발산하는 청색 LED이며, 상기 퀀텀도트는 양자고립효과(quantum confinement effect)를 가지는 적색 발광나노입자와 녹색 발광나노입자로 이루어지거나 옐로우 발광나노입자로 이루어지는 액정표시장치.
- 제 7 항에 있어서,
상기 적색 발광나노입자와 상기 녹색 발광나노입자 그리고 상기 옐로우 발광나노입자는 CdSe, CdTe, CdS, ZnSe, ZnTe, ZnS, HgTe 또는 HgS 중 선택된 하나로 이루어지는 액정표시장치.
- 제 7 항에 있어서,
상기 적색 발광나노입자와 상기 녹색 발광나노입자 그리고 상기 옐로우 발광나노입자는 CdSe, CdTe, CdS, ZnSe, ZnTe, ZnS, HgTe 및 HgS 으로 이루어지는 그룹에서 선택된 어느 한 물질을 포함하는 코어와 CdSe, CdTe, CdS, ZnSe, ZnTe, ZnS, HgTe 및 HgS 으로 이루어지는 그룹에서 선택된 어느 한 물질의 쉘로 이루어지는 코어-쉘 구조(core-shell)인 액정표시장치.
- 도광판의 입광면에 퀀텀도트를 코팅하는 단계와;
상기 퀀텀도트 상부에, 상기 퀀텀도트를 상기 입광면에 고정하고 상기 퀀텀도트를 완전히 감싸는 접착성물질을 도포하는 단계와;
반사판 상부에 상기 도광판을 안착시키는 단계와;
상기 입광면을 따라, 상기 입광면을 향해 광이 출사되는 다수의 LED와, 상기 다수의 LED가 실장되는 PCB를 포함하는 LED 어셈블리를 배열시키는 단계와;
상기 도광판 상부에 광학시트를 안착시키는 단계와;
상기 광학시트 상부에 액정패널을 안착시키는 단계와;
상기 액정패널의 가장자리에 서포트메인을 두르는 단계와;
상기 서포트메인 배면에 커버버툼의 저면을 밀착시키는 단계
를 포함하며,
상기 퀀텀도트는 상기 다수의 LED로부터 발광된 광을 여기시켜 백색광을 구현하고,
상기 접착성물질의 일측부는 상기 퀀텀도트 및 상기 입광면과 접촉하며, 상기 접착성물질의 타측부는 상기 LED의 상기 광이 출사되는 일면과 접촉하는 액정표시장치의 제조방법.
