Claims (8)
- 인터넷 프로토콜 TV(Internet Protocol TV;IPTV) 시스템을 위한 엣지 콘텐츠 전달 장치(an edge content delivery device)에 있어서,
상기 IPTV 시스템은 중앙 콘텐츠 전달 장치 및 복수의 엣지 콘텐츠 전달 장치를 포함하며,
상기 엣지 콘텐츠 전달 장치는,
다른 엣지 콘텐츠 전달 장치로부터의 미디어 콘텐츠를 요청하는 요청 디바이스와,
상기 중앙 콘텐츠 전달 장치에 의해 배포되는 미디어 콘텐츠를 수신하고, 상기 다른 엣지 콘텐츠 전달 장치로부터 미디어 콘텐츠를 수신하며, 콘텐츠 제공자의 콘텐츠 소스로부터 직접 입수된(ingested) 미디어 콘텐츠를 수신하는 수신 디바이스와,
상기 수신된 미디어 콘텐츠를 저장하는 스토리지 디바이스와,
사전결정된 콘텐츠 관리 정책에 기초하여 상기 저장된 미디어 콘텐츠를 관리하는 제어 디바이스와,
상기 제어 디바이스로부터의 명령어에 따라 상기 스토리지 디바이스로부터 상기 미디어 콘텐츠를 삭제하는 삭제 디바이스와,
상기 제어 디바이스로부터의 명령어에 따라 최종 사용자에게 상기 요청된 미디어 콘텐츠를 스트리밍하고, 또다른 엣지 콘텐츠 전달 장치로부터의 요청에 응답하여, 상기 요청된 미디어 콘텐츠를 요청하는 엣지 콘텐츠 전달 장치로 전달하는 스트리밍 디바이스와,
상기 미디어 콘텐츠가 지역적으로 수신되고 대응하는 콘텐츠 관리 정책을 이용한다는 것을 나타내도록 상기 콘텐츠 소스로부터 직접 입수되는 수신된 미디어 콘텐츠를 마킹(mark)하는 마킹 디바이스를 더 포함하는
엣지 콘텐츠 전달 장치.

- 제 1 항에 있어서,
상기 콘텐츠 관리 정책은 상기 중앙 콘텐츠 전달 장치에 저장되고 상기 엣지 콘텐츠 전달 장치에 액세스가능한
엣지 콘텐츠 전달 장치.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,
상기 콘텐츠 관리 정책은 상기 미디어 콘텐츠와 함께 상기 스토리지 디바이스에 저장되고, 상기 콘텐츠 관리 정책은 상기 미디어 콘텐츠의 메타데이터인
엣지 콘텐츠 전달 장치. - 제 1 항에 있어서,
상기 미디어 콘텐츠는, 라이브 TV 채널 프로그램(live TV channel program)과 비디오 온 디맨드 콘텐츠(Video on Demand contents)를 포함하는
엣지 콘텐츠 전달 장치.
- 제 5 항에 있어서,
상기 스토리지 디바이스는,
타임 시프트 리플레이(time-shift replay)를 위해 상기 라이브 TV 채널 프로그램을 저장하는 채널 콘텐츠 스토리지와,
상기 비디오 온 디맨드 콘텐츠를 저장하는 온 디맨드 콘텐츠 스토리지를 포함하는
엣지 콘텐츠 전달 장치.
- 인터넷 프로토콜 TV(IPTV) 시스템을 위한 콘텐츠 전달 시스템에 있어서,
중앙 콘텐츠 전달 장치와,
제 1 항에 따른 복수의 엣지 콘텐츠 전달 장치와,
IP 네트워크를 포함하되,
상기 중앙 콘텐츠 전달 장치는 상기 IP 네트워크를 통해 미디어 콘텐츠를 상기 복수의 엣지 콘텐츠 전달 장치로 배포하는
콘텐츠 전달 시스템.
- 제 7 항에 있어서,
복수의 브랜치 콘텐츠 전달 장치를 더 포함하되, 상기 복수의 브랜치 콘텐츠 전달 장치 각각은 상기 중앙 콘텐츠 전달 장치에 의해 배포된 상기 미디어 콘텐츠를 수신하고 상기 복수의 브랜치 콘텐츠 전달 장치에 연결된 엣지 콘텐츠 전달 장치에 상기 미디어 콘텐츠를 배포하는
콘텐츠 전달 시스템.
