The present invention relates to an air conditioner, and more particularly, to an air conditioner capable of storing wires in a heat exchanger cover coupled to both sides of a heat exchanger.

An air conditioner is a device that creates a pleasant indoor environment by cooling or heating indoor air. Korean Laid-Open Patent Publication No. 1998-21032 discloses a stand type air conditioner installed in an upright state in an indoor space as a kind of such air conditioner. The stand type air conditioner includes an upright body, a blower and a heat exchanger installed inside the body.

Heat exchanger covers are coupled to both sides of the heat exchanger (originally referred to as an 'evaporator') of the air conditioner disclosed in the above publication. These heat exchanger covers cover the space between the both ends of the heat exchanger and the inner surface of the main body to allow the indoor air to pass through the heat exchanger. In addition, the heat exchanger cover allows the heat exchanger to be stably supported on the inner surface of the body. The heat exchanger cover may be assembled in advance on both sides of the heat exchanger before installing the heat exchanger in the main body, or assembled on both sides of the heat exchanger after installing the heat exchanger in the main body.

In addition, the heat exchanger is provided with a temperature sensor or a ground wire for sensing the temperature of the heat exchanger. Typically, such a temperature sensor or grounding wire is installed before mounting the heat exchanger cover on both sides of the heat exchanger, and the wires extending from the temperature sensor are later installed in the main body, and then connected to the control panel, and the grounding wire is Connect to the body, etc.

However, such an air conditioner has a long stretch in the state in which the wire or the ground wire extended from the temperature sensor is exposed to the outside of the heat exchanger in the process of handling the heat exchanger from the installation of the temperature sensor or the grounding wire to the mounting of the heat exchanger in the main body. There was a problem that the installation of the heat exchanger was cumbersome, such as mounting the wires. In addition, even after installation of the heat exchanger, the exposed wires may not look good.

The present invention is to solve such a problem, it is an object of the present invention to provide an air conditioner that can simplify the arrangement of the wires installed on the heat exchanger side.
