Claims (5)
- 화면을 적어도 두 개의 영역으로 분할하고 상기 분할된 영역에 별도의 백라이트부를 구비한 액정표시장치의 구동방법에 있어서,각 프레임별로 실제 데이터 구간과 블랙 데이터 구간을 지정하여, 상기 각 구간에 제 1 게이트 신호 및 제 2 게이트 신호를 각 게이트 라인에 순차적으로 인가하는 단계와,상기 제 1 게이트 신호에 동기되어 실제 데이터 신호를 각 데이터 라인에 인가하고 상기 제 2 게이트 신호에 동기되어 각 데이터 라인에 리셋 데이터 신호를 인가하는 단계와,상기 리셋 데이터 신호가 인가되는 영역에 상응하는 상기 백라이트부를 턴오프하는 단계를 포함하되, 상기 실제 데이터가 인가되는 부분에 비해 상기 리셋 데이터가 인가되는 부분의 비가 큰 영역에 해당하는 백라이트부를 턴오프하는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치의 구동방법.
- 제 1항에 있어서,상기 백라이트부는 도광판 타입(type)의 백라이트부인 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치의 구동방법.
- 제 1항에 있어서,상기 데이터 신호는 상기 실제 데이터 구간에서는 실제화상데이터신호이고, 상기 블랙 데이터 구간에서는 리셋(reset)데이터신호인 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치의 구동방법.
- 삭제
- 제 1항에 있어서,상기 리셋 데이터 신호가 인가된 영역이 상부이면 상기 상부의 백라이트부를 턴오프하고, 상기 리셋 데이터 신호가 인가된 영역이 하부이면 상기 하부의 백라이트부를 턴오프하는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치의 구동방법.
