Abstract

도 1에는 본 발명의 바람직한 실시예에 따른 커넥터 장치(10)가 도시되어 있다. 커넥터 장치(10)는 액정표시장치(LCD) 모니터(16)의 하우징(14)에 확고하게 부착된 제 1 부재(12)를 포함한다. 제 1 부재(12)는 하우징(14)의 후면 또는 저면에 부착되는 것이 바람직하지만, 제 1 부재(12)를 부착하기 위해 충분한 영역을 이용할 수 있다면, 하우징(14)의 다른 위치에 고정될 수도 있다. 제 2 부재(18)는 도킹 스테이션을 형성하며, 본 실시예에서는 지지 암(22)에 순서적으로 부착되는 볼 조인트(ball joint: 20)에 부착된다. 볼 조인트(20)는 제 2 부재(18)가 필요에 따라 지지 암(20)에 대해 이동할 수 있도록 하며, 그에 따라, LCD 모니터(16)가 최적의 가시각도로 조절될 수 있게 된다.
계속해서, 도 1을 참조하여, 제 1 부재(12)는 쐐기 형상의 돌기부(26)를 갖는 하우징(24)을 포함한다. 쐐기 형상 돌기부(26)의 하부에는 (본 실시예에서) 수형 커넥터로 도시된 전기 커넥터(28)가 형성되어 있다. 제 2 부재(18)는 내부에 제 2 전기 커넥터(32)가 설치되는 컵 형상 하우징(30)을 포함한다. 본 실시예에 있어서, 전기 커넥터(32)는 암형 커넥터로 이루어지지만, 제 1 부재(12)의 전기 커넥터(28)가 암형으로 이루어지고, 제 2 전기 커넥터(32)가 수형으로 이루어질 수도 있다.
도 2를 참조하면, 커넥터 장치(10)의 제 2 부재(18)에 막 부착되려고 하는 LCD 모니터(16)가 도시되어 있다. 화살표(36)는 LCD 모니터(16)가 컵 형상의 하우징(30)으로 활주해 들어가 제 1 부재(12)가 커넥터 장치(10)의 제 2 부재(18)에 부착되는 것을 도시한다. 서로 결합된 부재들(12, 18)은 도 3에 도시되어 있다. 도 3에 도시된 바와 같이 부착될 때, 제 1 부재(12)는 컵 형상 하우징(18) 내에 대체로 배치되고 전기적 및 기계적으로 제 2 부재(18)에 결합된다. 그러므로, 제 2 부재(18)는 비디오 케이블(34)에 의한 전기적 접속을 허용할 뿐만 아니라 전체 LCD 모니터(16)를 지지하는 데 충분한 강도를 가진다. 부착된 부재들의 저면도가 도 4에 도시되어 있다. 도 4는 대체로 제 1 및 제 2 부재들(12, 18)이 부착되어 혼재된 저부(blended, low profile attachment)를 도시한다.
도 5는 제 2 부재(18)를 더 상세하게 도시하고 있다. 컵 형상 하우징(30)은 내부에 암형 전기 커넥터(32)가 배치된 하우징 저부(40) 근처에 쐐기형 부재(38)을 가진다. 쐐기형 부재(38) 후방의 우묵한 영역(42)은 쐐기형 부재(26)가 제 2 부재(18)로 삽입될 때 부재(26)의 부분에 소량의 공차를 제공한다. 쐐기 형상 부분(26)과 쐐기 형상 부재(38)의 상호 결합 때문에 제 1 부재(12)가 제 2 부재(18)에 활주하여 부착될 때 전기 커넥터(28)의 수형핀들(도 1)은 전기 커넥터(32)에 대해 자동적으로 정렬된다. 그러면, 나사 스크류들(44)은 두 전기 커넥터들(28, 32)을 더욱 견고하게 고정하는데 사용된다. 제 2 부재(18)의 대체적인 저부 형상이 도 6에 도시되어 있다.
그러므로, 본 발명의 커넥터 장치(10)는 전체 LCD 모니터(16)가 확고하게 지지될 수 있도록 LCD 모니터(16)를 지지암(22)으로 활주결합되게 한다. 제 1 및 제 2 부재들(12, 18)의 상호 결합을 분해하는데 시간이 들거나 특별한 공구가 필요하지 않다. 제 2 부재(18)의 컵 형상 하우징(30)으로부터 모니터(16)을 제거하고자 할 때, 사용자가 단순히 LCD 모니터(16)을 상방으로 들어올리면 전체 유니트는 전기 커넥터(32)로부터 활주하여 분리된다(제공된 나사 스크류들(44)는 커넥터(28)과 결합되지 않는다). 또한, 쐐기형 부재들(26, 38)은 LCD 모니터(16)가 제 2 부재(18)에 고정될 때마다 전기 커넥터들(28, 32)이 완전히 정렬되는 것을 보증한다.
도 7 및 도 8에 본 발명의 대안적인 바람직한 실시예에 따른 커넥터 장치(50)가 도시되어 있다. 커넥터 장치(50)는 대체로 제 1 부재(52)와 제 2 부재(54)를 포함한다. 제 1 부재(52)는, 도 1에 도시된 바와 마찬가지로, LCD 모니터의 하우징 부분에 확고하게 고정되도록 의도되어 있다. 유사하게, 제 2 부재(54)는 제 1 부재(52)에 부착된 LCD 모니터를 지지하는데 사용되는 다른 어떠한 형태의 지지 부재에 확고하게 고정되도록 의도되어 있다. 유사하게, 제 1 부재(52)는 그것으로부터 돌출되는 쐐기형상의 돌출부를 갖는 하우징(56)을 포함한다. 이 실시예에서는 수형 커넥터인 전기 커넥터(60)는 쐐기형 돌출부(58)의 저부에서 하우징(56)에 고정된다. 전기 커넥터(60)의 정위(orientation)는 도 9에 도시되어 있다.
도 8에는 제 2 부재(54)가 훨씬 상세하게 도시되어 있다. 제 2 부재(54)는 쐐기 형상 우묵부(66)을 형성하는 부재(64)를 가지는 컵 형상 하우징(62)를 포함한다. 전기 커넥터(68)는 쐐기형상 부재(64)의 하부(70) 내에 배치된다. 나사 스크류(72)는 커넥터(68)을 커넥터(60)에 고정하는 것을 돕도록 포함되거나 사용될 수 있다.
그 외에는 제 1 부재(52)를 제 2 부재(54)에 고정하는 것은 커넥터 장치(10)와 동일하다. 제 1 부재(52)에 부착된 LCD 모니터는 제 2 부재(54) 근처에 위치된 다음 쐐기 형상 돌출부(58)가 쐐기 형상 우묵부(66) 내에 활주결합하도록 내려진다. 쐐기 형상 우묵부(66) 때문에 제 1 부재(52)가 제 2 부재(54)를 완전히 활주결합함에 따라 커넥터(68)는 자동적으로 중앙으로 정렬된다.
본 발명의 두 실시예(10, 50)으로, 전기 커넥터들(28, 60)은 각각 그것들이 고정되는 LCD 모니터의 표시 요소에 전기적으로 결합된다는 것을 알 수 있을 것이다. 그러므로, 각 커넥터들(28, 60)의 일 측은 표시 요소와 소통하는 전기 컨덕터들을 가질 것이다. 제 1 부재들(12, 52) 각각은 나사 스크류들 또는 부재(12 또는 52)의 몸통을 LCD 모니터의 하우징의 일부분에 붙이는 다른 어떤 수단들에 의해 LCD 모니터의 하우징에 부착될 수 있다. 대안적으로, LCD 모니터의 하우징에 제 1 부재들(12 또는 52)을 형성하는 것이 바람직할 수도 있다.
도 10 및 도 11은 제 1 부재(52)의 제 2 부재에 대한 활주 부착이 도시되어 있다. 제 1 부재(52)가 LCD 모니터(16)에 부착된 것이 도시되어 있다. 도 11의 화살표(74)는 두 부재들을 함께 부착하기 위한 제 1 부재(52)에 대한 제 2 부재(54)의 이동 방향을 지시한다. 도 12는 LCD 모니터들(82, 84)을 통합하는 이중 스크린 LCD 모니터 시스템(80)을 도시한다. LCD 모니터들(82, 84)은 대체로 수평하게 배치된 암(86)에 지지되며, 이는 대체로 수직하게 배치된 기동(88)에 지지된다. 기동(88)은 기부(90)에 지지된다. 도 13에 LCD 모니터(84)를 상방으로 들어올리는 것에 의해 LCD 모니터(84)가 제 2 부재(54)로부터 들어올려지는 모습이 도시되어 있다.
도 14에, 제 2 부재(54)가 컵 형상 하우징(62)을 생략하도록 수정되어 LCD 모니터(16)가 제 2 부재(54)로부터 해제가능하게 분리되어 차량으로 제거될수 있도록 차량 내의 시트(92)에 부착되는 모습이 도시되어 있다. 유사하게, 도 15는 차량 도어(94)의 내측에 부착된 제 2 부재(54)를 도시하며, 이는 LCD 모니터(16)가 차량 도어(94)의 그 위치로부터 제거되어 차량으로부터 제거될 수 있게 한다.
도 16을 참조하면, 제 2 부재(54)가 벽(96)에 부착된 모습이 도시되어 있다. 그러므로, LCD 모니터(16)는 제 1 및 제 2 부재들(52, 54)이 각각 활주 결합되도록 모니터를 제 2 부재(54)로 떨어뜨리는 것에 의해 간단하게 벽(96)에 지지될 수 있다. 도 17에눈, 제 2 부재(54)가 회전 지지암(98)에 고정된 모습이 도시되어 있으며, 회전 지지암은 또한 벽(96)에 부착되어 있다. LCD 모니터(16)은 앞서 기술한 바와 마찬가지로 제 2 부재(54)에 부착될 수 있다.
본 발명의 바람직한 실시예에 의하면 LCD 모니터는 복잡한 분해 과정없이 신속하고 쉽게 지지 부재에 결합 또는 분리될 수 있다. 또한, 본 발명의 제 1 및 제 2 부재들의 각각의 쐐기형상 부분들에 의해, LCD 모니터에 부착된 제 1 부재가 제 2 부재에 활주 결합될 때 제 1 및 제 2 부재들의 전기 커넥터들은 정확하게 정렬될 수 있다. 그러므로, 모니터를 제 2 부재에 재부착하는 동안 사용자가 수형 전기 커넥터의 수형 핀들을 파손할 기회는 거의 없거나 없다.
본 발명의 커넥터 장치들(10 또는 50)의 기본적인 장점은 하나의 LCD 모니터가 장치의 제 2 부재가 사용되는 다양한 위치에서 사용될 수 있게 하는 것이라는 것을 알 수 있을 것이다. 이는 필요성이 발생되는 다양한 환경들에서 모니터가 사용될 수 있게 함으로써 LCD 표시 모니터에 훨씬 더 유용함을 제공한다.
본 발명이 속하는 기술 분야에서 통상의 지식을 가진 자들은 상술한 설명으로부터 본 발명의 넓은 개시가 다양한 형태로 실시될 수 있음을 알 수 있을 것이다. 그러므로, 본 발명이 특정한 실시예들에 대해서만 기술되었지만, 도면들, 명세서, 및 이하의 청구범위로부터 다른 변형예들이 당업자에 의해 명백해질 것이기 때문에 본 발명의 진정한 범위는 그렇게 한정되지 않는다.

Claims (1)

  1. 액정표시장치(LCD) 스크린의 LCD 표시장치 스탠드의 지지부재에 대한 신속한 전기적 및 기계적 결합 및 분리를 허용하는 커넥터 장치로서,
    상기 LCD 스크린의 후면에 장착되며, 쐐기 형상 돌출부와 제 1 전기 커넥터를 포함하는 하우징을 가지는 제 1 장착 부재; 및
    상기 지지부재에 장착되고, 쐐기 형상 캐비티와 제 2 전기 커넥터를 포함하는 하우징을 가지는 제 2 장착 부재를 포함하며,
    상기 쐐기 형상 캐비티는 상기 LCD 스크린을 상기 지지부재에 물리적으로 지지하도록 상기 쐐기 형상 돌출부와 기계적으로 활주결합되는 한편, 상기 제 1 전기 커넥터는 두 전기 커넥터들의 전기적 결합을 초래하도록 상기 제 2 전기 커넥터와 전류적으로 결합되는 커넥터 장치.
