Claims (17)
- 적어도 부분적으로 잉크가 소모된 잉크 컨테이너(12)를 재생하는 방법으로서, 상기 잉크 컨테이너(12)는, 이 잉크 컨테이너(12)가 프린터(10)에 접속되었을 때 상기 프린터(10)와 통신하며 상기 잉크 컨테이너(12)와 관련된 메모리 장치(26)를 구비하며, 상기 메모리 장치(26)는 적어도 부분적으로 소모된 상태에 있는 상기 잉크 컨테이너(12)내에 수납된 잉크와 관련되는 제 1 변수를 갖고 있는, 잉크 컨테이너 재생 방법에 있어서,① 상기 잉크 컨테이너(12)에 잉크를 재충전하는 단계와,② 상기 제 1 변수가 상기 프린터(10)와 더 이상 소통하는 것을 차단하는 단계와,③ 재충전되었을 때, 상기 잉크 컨테이너(12)와 관련되고 상기 프린터(10)와 통신하는 제 2 변수를 전기적으로 제공하는 단계를 포함하는잉크 컨테이너 재생 방법.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,상기 단계(③)는 상기 잉크 컨테이너(12)와 관련된 메모리 장치(26)를 제공하는 단계와, 상기 제 2 변수를 상기 메모리 장치(26)내에 저장하는 단계를 포함하는잉크 컨테이너 재생 방법.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,상기 단계(②)는 상기 제 1 변수를 제거하기 위해 상기 메모리 장치(26)를 변경하는 단계를 포함하며,상기 단계(③)는 상기 제 2 변수를 상기 메모리 장치(26)내에 저장하는 단계를 포함하는잉크 컨테이너 재생 방법.

- 적어도 부분적으로 잉크가 소모된 저장소(22)를 구비하는 잉크 컨테이너(12)를 재생하는 방법으로서, 상기 잉크 컨테이너(12)는 상기 잉크 컨테이너(12)가 상기 프린트 시스템(10)에 장착될 때 상기 프린트 시스템(10)의 대응 프린터 접점(30)와 맞물리는 다수의 잉크 컨테이너 접점(24)에 연결되어 상기 프린트 시스템(10)과 소통하는 메모리 장치(26)를 구비하며, 상기 메모리 장치(26)는 적어도 부분적으로 소모된 상태를 나타내는 잔류 잉크양 신호를 프린트 시스템(10)에 제공하도록 상기 잉크 컨테이너(12)로부터의 잉크의 사용중에 전기적으로 변경되어 있는, 상기 잉크 컨테이너 재생 방법에 있어서,① 상기 잔류 잉크양 신호가 상기 프린트 시스템(10)과 더 이상 소통하는 것을 차단하는 단계와,② 상기 잔류 잉크양 신호에 의해 이미 신호된 양보다 많은 이용 가능 잉크를 나타내는 신호를, 상기 프린터 접점(30)에 전기적으로 접속되었을 때, 상기 단계(①)에 앞서 공급하는 신호원을 제공하는 단계를 포함하는잉크 컨테이너 재생 방법.
- 제 5 항에 있어서,상기 단계(②)는 상기 신호원으로서 메모리 장치(26)를 제공하는 단계를 포함하는잉크 컨테이너 재생 방법.
- 제 5 항에 있어서,상기 메모리 장치(26)는 잉크 사용을 나타내도록 프린트 시스템(10)에 의해 바뀌는 일회 기록 메모리 섹터를 가지며,상기 단계(②)는, 상기 프린트 시스템(10)에 의해 변경되지 않은 대응하는 일회 일회 기록 메모리 섹터를 갖는 메모리 장치(26)를 신호원으로서 제공하는 단계를 포함하는잉크 컨테이너 재생 방법.
