Abstract
PURPOSE: A biological nutrient removal apparatus including recycle water inputted sludge denitrification tank is provided to improve treatment efficiency of nitrogen and phosphorus by inputting recycle water as an organic carbon source into the sludge denitrification tank, thereby improving denitrification efficiency. CONSTITUTION: The biological nutrient removal apparatus comprises a sludge denitrification tank(10) into which a recycle water carbon source(110) is inputted to effectively reduce nitrate-nitrogen in sludge returned after being precipitated in a sedimentation pond; an anaerobic tank(20) in which sludge overflown from the sludge denitrification tank is flown together with an influent(120) to discharge phosphorus and remove organic matter; an anoxic tank(30) for denitrifying nitrate-nitrogen in sludge internally returned from the aerobic tank using sludge overflown from the anaerobic tank and the influent; an aerobic tank(40) for removing organic matter remaining in sludge overflown from the anoxic tank and converting ammonia nitrogen into nitrate-nitrogen; and a sedimentation pond(50) in which sludge overflown from the aerobic tank is precipitated to send supernatant liquid to an effluent(160), return the precipitated sludge to the sludge denitrification tank and disuse some of the precipitated sludge.
