Abstract

PURPOSE: A board contact structure of a printer is provided to be readily separated and installed by function block unit for the additional installation and replacement of a circuit board element of the printer. CONSTITUTION: A board contact structure(20) of a printer is comprised of a base interface board(27) and contact portions(24a,26a) electrically contacted by sliding, corresponding to a main connector(28) and an auxiliary connecter(29). The base interface board is prepared with the main contactor for the contact of a printer controller circuit board(24) and the auxiliary connector for the contact of an auxiliary circuit board(26) for extending a function. In case of needing to upgrade, only the printer controller circuit board or the auxiliary circuit board is provided. Then the printer is simply upgraded by a replacement work of separating and installing the base interface plate.
