Claims (2)
- 광대역 종합 정보 통신망의 터미널 정합 장치에 있어서,가변형 비트율(VBR) 데이터를 ATM 셀로 변환하는 ATM및AAL3/4,5계층부;고정형 비트율(CBR) 데이터들을 ATM 셀로 변환하는 n개의 CBR인터페이스부;물리계층데이터를 ATM 셀로 변환하는 물리계층부; 및'R'포인트로부터 'SB'포인트로 전송하는 경우에는 가변형 비트율(VBR) ATM셀 또는 고정형 비트율(CBR) ATM 셀을 입력받아서 둘 간의 우선 순위를 결정하여 ATM 셀들 중 하나를 선택하여 상기 물리계층부로 출력하고, 'SB'포인트로부터 'R'포인트로 전송하는 경우에는 하나의 ATM 셀을 입력받아서 그 ATM 셀이 가변형 비트율(VBR) ATM 셀 인지 아니면 고정형 비트율(CBR)인지를 판단하여 가변형 비트율(VBR) ATM인 경우에는 상기 ATM및AAL3/4,5 계층부로 출력하고, 고정형 비트율(CBR) ATM인 경우에는 상기 n개의 CBR인터페이스부중 하나로 출력하는 멀티플렉서/디멀티플렉서부를 포함하는 것임을 특징으로 하는 광대역 정보 통신망의 터미널 정합 장치.
- 제 1항에 있어서, 상기 멀티플렉서/디멀티플렉서부는 UTOPIA 인터페이스를 통하여 물리계층부와 연결되어 있고,'R'포인트로부터 'SB'포인트로 전송할 때, 상기 n개의 CBR인터페이스부 중에서 우선순위에 따라서 하나의 CBR 인터페이스부로부터 출력되는 ATM 셀을 셀 버스를 통하여 전송되도록 하는 셀FIFO및셀버스제어부;'R'포인트로부터 'SB'포인트로 전송할 때, VBR 데이터를 입력받는 VBR전송 FIFO제어부;상기 셀FIFO및셀버스제어부와 상기 VBR전송FIFO제어부로부터 CBR 데이터 전송요구신호와 VBR 데이터 전송요구신호를 입력 받아서 우선 순위를 결정하는 전송우선순위결정부;상기 전송우선순위결정부에 의한 전송우선순위에 따라서 UTOPIA 타이밍에 맞게 ATM 셀들을 물리계층부로 출력하는 UTOPIA전송제어부;'SB'포인트로부터 'R'포인트로 전송할 때 상기 물리계층부로부터 출력되는 전송비트열을 UTOPIA 타이밍에 맞도록 수신하는 UTOPIA수신제어부;CBR 데이터의 VPI 및 VCI 값을 저장하는 헤더저장레지스터;상기 헤더저장레지스터에 저장된 값을 참조하여 상기 UTOPIA수신부로부터 입력되는 ATM 셀이 VBR 데이터인지 CBR 데이터인지를 판단하여 CBR 데이터의 경우 상기 n개의 CBR인터페이스부 중 해당하는 CBR인터페이스부로 출력하는 헤더비교및셀전송제어부;상기 헤더비교및셀전송제어부에 의하여 VBR 데이터로 판단되는 경우, VBR 데이터를 입력 받아서 상기 ATM및AAL3,4/5계층부로 출력하는 VBR수신FIFO제어부를 포함하는 것임을 특징으로 하는 광대역 정보 통신망의 터미널 정합 장치.
