Claims (7)
- 異なる色が1つ以上含まれた複数個の光源と、
各光源からの光を面発光させる導光体とを備え、
前記複数個の光源が前記導光体に沿って一定の順序で並べられている発光素子において、
前記導光体は、各光源からの光を混色する混色部と、前記混色部によって混色した光を面発光させる表示部とを有し、
前記複数個の光源の光度は、前記導光体の中央から端へ向かうにしたがって小さくなっていることを特徴とする発光素子。 - 異なる色が1つ以上含まれた複数個の光源と、各光源からの光を面発光させる導光体とを備え、前記複数個の光源が前記導光体の一端部に沿って一定の順序で並べられている発光素子において、
前記導光体は、各光源からの光を混色する混色部と、前記混色部によって混色した光を面発光させる表示部とを有し、
前記導光体の一端部の中央に面して配置された光源の光度を最も高くし、該光源から遠ざかるにしたがって各光源の光度が小さくなるように、各光源が配置されていることを特徴とする発光素子。 - 前記光源は、赤色発光ダイオード、緑色発光ダイオード、および青色発光ダイオードの何れかであり、
前記各光源は、上記の各色の発光ダイオードを組み合わせて構成されていることを特徴とする請求項1または請求項2に記載の発光素子。 - 前記各光源に供給する電流値を調整することによって、各光源の光度を調整する光度調整手段が設けられていることを特徴とする請求項1〜3の何れか1項に記載の発光素子。
- 前記各光源に供給する電流のパルス幅を調整することによって、各光源の光度を調整する光度調整手段が設けられていることを特徴とする請求項1〜3の何れか1項に記載の発光素子。
- 請求項1〜3の何れか1項に記載の発光素子において、
供給される電流に対する前記各光源の光度が、前記導光体の中央に配置されたものから前記導光体の端に配置されたものへ向かって小さくなるように、前記複数個の光源が前記導光体に沿って配置されていることを特徴とする発光素子。 - 液晶パネルと、該液晶パネルに光を照射するバックライトとを備えている液晶表示装置であって、
上記バックライトは、請求項1〜6の何れか1項に記載の発光素子を含んで構成されていることを特徴とする液晶表示装置。
