The number of sheets to be pushed varies depending on the gap between the pieces of paper. A pair of transport guides 3 are provided at the front end of the tray 1 in the flow direction of the paper pieces P, and the front end of the transport guide 3 comes into contact with the paper feed roller 5 and the lower end surface of the paper feed roller 5. It faces the separation piece 6 provided at the top.

It has a structure in which the contact pressure with 6 can be adjusted. Then, among the appropriate number of pieces of paper pushed by the calling roller 2, pieces of paper other than the topmost piece of paper P are
The paper piece P is separated from the paper pieces below it by the separating piece 6, and then sent by the paper feed roller 5 and supplied to the next process.

It was very difficult to adjust the positional relationship. That is, if the paper feed roller 5 is located near the tip of the guide member 7 without contacting the separation piece 6 as shown in FIG. 6, the paper piece P and other paper pieces are not reliably separated. Since the paper pieces P are inserted between the paper feed roller 5 and the guide member 7, there is a risk that the pieces of paper P may be fed in duplicate. In addition, as shown in FIG. 7, when the paper feed roller 5 is far away from the guide member 7 and comes into contact with many of the separating pieces 6, the leading edge of the paper piece P separated from an appropriate number of pieces of paper is on the guide member 7 or separated. There is a risk that the piece of paper P will come into contact with the piece 6 and be bent without being inserted into the horizontal throat formed by the paper feed roller 5 and the separation piece 6, resulting in non-feeding. be.

It is desirable that the paper feed roller 5 be positioned near the boundary between the paper feed roller 5 and the separation piece 6, in contact with the separation piece 6; These have a short lifespan due to wear and tear. especially,
This is especially true if the piece of paper P is thin paper. Furthermore, if a large number of pieces of paper P are fed by mistake, there is a problem of double feeding.

When [t] is in contact with the outer peripheral surface of the roller 16, the restoring force of the tension coil spring 21 cannot resist the Ha force between them, thus preventing the guide member 17 from moving. In addition, the paper feeding cola 16 and the guide member 1

It will be pressed against the piece of paper P at the top of the page. Therefore, the rotation of the pick-up roller 12 forces the piece of paper P to the right in the figure. At this time, depending on the frictional force between the piece of paper P and the piece of paper below it, several pieces of paper may be sent together along with the piece of paper P. On the other hand, even though the separating piece 20 is in contact with the outer peripheral surface of the paper feed roller 16 and the guide member 17 is receiving the restoring force of the tension coil spring 21,
It does not move due to the frictional force between it and the paper feed roller 16.

Although the member 17 is prevented from being fed together with the topmost piece of paper P by coming into contact with the chamfered portion at the tip thereof, some sheets are sent to the paper feed roller 16 together with the topmost paper piece P, and the paper feed roller 1
6 and the separation piece 20, the separation piece 2o comes into contact with the paper piece below, and the restoring force of the tension coil spring 21 resists the frictional force between the separation piece 20 and the paper piece. As a result, the guide member 17 moves in the direction opposite to the flow direction of the paper pieces P. By this movement of the guide member 17, the lower piece of paper is separated from the uppermost piece of paper P, and the paper piece is pushed back toward the tray 11.

きる。(G) As described in detail, according to the paper feeder according to the present invention, the guide member that guides the paper pieces along the flow direction of the paper pieces is movable, and the paper pieces are moved between the guide member and the paper feed member. Since the guide member moves in the opposite direction to the flow direction of the paper pieces when inserted between the guide member and the guide member, the paper pieces to be fed and the paper pieces attached thereto are reliably separated. Be able to do that. Furthermore, until the piece of paper is inserted between the guide member and the paper feed member, the boundary between the paper feed member and the separation piece is in contact with each other, so that the piece of paper can be securely placed between the paper feed member and the separation piece. It can be inserted, and it is possible to reliably push out a unit number of pieces of paper. Furthermore, the guide member is movable,
Since the guide member and the paper feed member are not always in contact with each other at the same location, the service life can be increased against wear.

Since no other detecting means or the like is required, the paper feeding device can be provided at low cost and has high practicality.
