A series circuit of an anti-parallel connected light emitting diode 5 and a resistor 6 is connected in parallel to the temperature fuse 3, which serves as a photocoupler input, and constitutes an abnormality detection section of the ventilation fan. A series circuit of a rectifier diode 6, a resistor 7, a light emitting diode 8, and a transistor 9 is connected to the commercial AC power source 4 in parallel with the motor 1 of the ventilation fan, and this series circuit and the cathode of the rectifier diode 6 A Cds resistor 10 with a photocoupler output connected between the base of the transistor 90 and a resistor 11 connected between the pace emitter of the transistor 9 constitute an operation display section of the ventilation fan.

At this current value of 11, the transistor 9 is not conductive, and therefore the light emitting diode 8 is not lit. When the motor 1 of the ventilation fan is in an abnormal state and the temperature and the fuse 3 are blown, current flows through the light emitting diode 6 of the photocoupler input and the Cds resistor 1 of the photocoupler output.
The characteristics of 0 are as shown at point B. The resistance value R2 is smaller than the normal value R1, and the current value is larger.
The transistor 9 is made conductive and the light emitting diode 8 is turned on. Therefore, it is possible to notify of an abnormality in the motor 1 of the ventilation fan.
