Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce noise caused by resonance, by integrally moulding with an engineering plastic material a finger guard section with small grille space for danger protection, a fan holding section and a housing section. CONSTITUTION:A fan driving motor 16 fitted with a fan 18 is secured to a fan holding section 10 in the center of the motor with a screw member 22. This fan holding section 10 in the center encloses an fan 18 through a finger guard 11 having a thick spoke member 26 and a thin grilled rib member 12, and is of such a constitution as is integrally injection-moulded with an engineering plastic material together with an outside circumferential housing 14 forming a cooling air passage. In this structure, on account of material characteristic and reduction of member parts, the noise caused by resonance by rotating vibration of the fan or the cooled motor can be reduced.

たことを特徴とするモータ冷却用ファンハウジングを提
供する。

と、ファン18を取り付けたファン駆動用モータ16は
中心部のファン保持部10に対してねじ部材22によっ
て固定されている。、この中心部のファン保持部10は
、厚肉スポーク部材26と薄肉格子状のリブ部材12と
を有したフィンガーガード11を介してファン18を収
容すると共に冷却用空気流路を形成する外周のハウジン
グ部14と、エンジニアリングプラスチック材料(例え
ば、ポリブチレンテレフタレート)によって一体に射出
成形された構造となっている。このフィンガーガード1
1は冷却用ファンの回転中に、誤って作業者等が指を差
し込むことのないように安全対策上必要とされている部
分(部品)であり、本発明ではこのフィンガーガード1
1における互いの間隔が小さな格子部材12に補強リブ
としての作用も持たせるべく外側ハウジング部14及び
中心部のファン保持部10と一体に成形したものである

特性並びに部品数の減少からファン或いは被冷却モータ
の回転振動による共振に基づく騒音を低減させると共に
、軽量化が達成される。この場合フィンガーガードの格
子部材が補強リブ部材として作用するため、モータ冷却
用ハウジングの構造強度を補っている。更には射出成形
時に材料に色素材料を混合しておけば所望のカラーが得
られるため、従来の様な塗装作業も不要となる。
