Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain an inexpensive impact dot head excellent in high-speed properties, by a construction wherein a leaf spring for accumulating energy required for printing is held in attraction in the state of being deformed in the shape of a cubic curve. CONSTITUTION:In a stand-by condition, an armature 2 is attracted onto an end face of a core 4 by a magnetic flux generated by a permanent magnet 7, so that a leaf spring 1 fixed to the armature is held in a deflected state. An end face to be attracted of the armature is substantially parallel to a mount surface for the leaf spring 1, so that when the armature 2 is attracted, the inclination of the leaf spring 1 at a joint part between the armature 2 and the spring 1 is substantially zero, and the inclination of the spring 1 on the side of a fixed end thereof is also zero. Therefore, the leaf spring 1 is deformed in the shape of a curve having two extremal values, namely, a cubic curve. When the armature is released from the attracting force of the magnet, first- order and second-order vibration modes are generated in the spring 1. When a wire 3 collides against a platen under such vibrations, the second-order vibration is attenuated.

In such a conventional configuration, the stiffness of the temporary spring 1 is smaller than that of the armature, so the reaction force when the printing wire 3 collides with the platen induces a secondary vibration mode in the temporary spring 1, as shown in FIG. The wire behavior shown in (b) occurs. If such an IJi movement occurs, the contact time becomes long (and the wire reciprocation time also becomes long, so there is a drawback that the responsiveness decreases).

At this time, the suction end surface of the armature is machined to be almost parallel to the mounting surface of the leaf spring l, so when the armature 2 is suctioned, the inclination of the temporary spring 1 at the joint between the armature 2 and the temporary spring 1 is almost zero. The inclination of the fixed end example of the temporary spring 1 is also zero. Therefore, it is a curve with two extreme values, that is, a cubic curve! ! The temporary spring l deforms suddenly. When printing, when a current is passed through the magnet coil 10 in a direction that cancels the magnetic flux of the permanent magnet 7, the armature 2 is released, and due to the strain energy of the leaf spring 1, the wire 3 formed in a circular tube on the end face of the armature 2 protrudes in the direction of the arrow, as shown in the figure. Form a dot on a blank sheet of paper. After the dots are formed, the armature 2 is again attracted and held by the core 4 by the repulsive force upon the wire collision and the attractive force of the permanent magnet 7. When the above operation is performed, the temporary spring 1 is deformed in a cubic curve shape, so that when it is released from the attractive force of the permanent magnet, the first and second order Wt motion modes occur in the leaf spring 1. When the wire 9 collides with the platen while vibrating in this manner, secondary vibrations are not induced by the collision because secondary g-forces have already been generated, and on the contrary, the secondary vibrations are attenuated by the collision. The wire behavior 1rlE1 1 or more shown in Figure (b) shortens the contact time of the wire and shortens the reciprocating time of the wire (therefore, the response can be improved. In this type of impact dot head, Since the contact time occupies about 1/4 of the wire reciprocating time, responsiveness is dramatically improved.

(Effects of the Invention) According to the present application, the leaf spring is deformed and held in a cubic curve during standby, so that when the wire collides with the temporary spring, the higher-order vibration mode does not come into contact with &1!A. Since the time is shortened, the responsiveness of the impact dot head can be improved.Furthermore, since there is no need for a special structure such as a cross spring, the 51ia cost can be reduced.
