PURPOSE:To allow an antibacterial agent to be incorporated in a molding to retain an antibacterial effect over a long period of time, by molding a compsn. obtd. by blending 2,4,4'-trichloro-2'-hydroxydiphenyl ether as an antibacterial agent with a polyester. CONSTITUTION:The title molding is obtd. by using a polyester compsn. mainly composed of a polyester and contg. 2,4,4'-trichloro-2'-hydroxydiphenyl ether. Said ether is added to the polyester before or during a melt molding step. Pref. said polyester is mainly composed of ethylene terephthalate units and has a glass transition point (not lower than 58 deg.C, but not higher than 180 deg.C) higher than the m.p. of the above ether.

処理したのち、溶剤1分散剤を蒸発等の工程を経て乾燥
せしめる事が必然的に随伴することとなり、環境面、安
全面、経済面で多くの問題を未解決のまま有している。

す特定の抗菌剤とポリエステルと組合せた組成物が特に
優れた特性を有することを見出し、本発明に到達した。

その混合物を必要なら乾燥工程を経たのち、共に溶融混
合したり、又、これらの工程において、他の添加物、例
えばポリエチレングリコール、シリコーンオイル等に抗
菌剤を混合したのち、その混合物を前記重合体と共に溶
融混合する事も本発明の好ましい態様である。

よって成型品の内部に安定に抗菌剤を存在せしめて、長
期間その抗菌性を保持せしめたものである。
