(c) Problems that the invention aims to solve However, when it comes to vending machines that allow you to purchase products by inserting bills, not only does the amount of change increase when bills are inserted, but the amount of bills inserted is returned in coins. There may be cases where it is necessary to do so, and simply detecting the presence of change using a conventional coin detection switch is insufficient, and it is necessary to grasp the amount of change stored.

(d) Means for Solving the Problems In order to solve the above problems, the change detection device of the present invention includes change pipes arranged in parallel for each type of change coin, and a coin detection switch provided for each change pipe. and a transfer device that freely transfers the coin detection switches up and down along the corresponding change pipes,
a plurality of movement detection devices arranged corresponding to an arbitrary number of coins or an arbitrary size based on a predetermined coin type among the change coin types; and a determination device that determines the change capacity based on the detection output of the coin detection switch.

(E) Function The coin detection switch detects the presence or absence of coins by moving the change pipe in the vertical direction using the transfer device, but the movement position of the coin detection switch is detected by the movement detection device. Then, the determination device determines the change capacity in the change pipe based on the coin detection signal from the coin detection switch and the signal indicating the position of the coin detection switch from the movement detection device.

(f) Example In Figure 1, 1, 2, and 3 are 10 yen and 100 yen, respectively.
Change pipes for storing yen and 50 yen change coins are arranged in parallel with each other, and numerals 4, 5, and 6 are coin detection switches arranged according to change pipes 1, 2, and 3. In this example, the proximity switch is used to detect coins. It is configured.
Further, 7 is a transfer device, which is attached to a pair of pulleys 14 and 15, one of which is connected to a drive motor 13, a belt 16 stretched between the pulleys 14 and 15, and a belt 16, as shown in the side view of FIG. shelf 1
Coin detection switches 4, 5, and 6 are fixed to the shelf 17. Reed switches 8, 9, 10, and 11 are attached to the change pipe 3 for storing 50 yen coins as devices for detecting movement of the shelf 17 at positions every 10 50 yen coins. On the other hand, a magnet 18 is attached to the shelf 17, and the reed switches 8, 9, 10, and 11 are turned on in sequence as the shelf moves upward. In normal sales conditions, the shelf 17 is stationary at a position where the magnet 18 faces the reed switch 8 at the lowest position, and the coin detection switches 4, 5, 6
detects the presence or absence of coins based on whether there are 10 or more change coins of 10 yen, 100 yen, and 50 yen, respectively. Therefore, when coins are inserted into a vending machine, whether or not a product can be sold is determined based on the presence or absence of change based on these 10 coins. In this example, the standard coin type is set to the thickest coin type, that is, the 50 yen coin at present, and the coins are divided into 10 coins based on the 50 yen coin. And change pipes 1, 2,
When it becomes necessary to check the change capacity in 3, the drive motor 13 is rotated forward to move the shelf 17 upward, and the coin detection switches 4, 5 are activated when the reed switches 8, 9, 10, and 11 are turned on. , 6 is used to detect the amount of various change coins stored.

FIG. 3 is a block diagram showing the control circuit of the change detection device. Coin detection switch 4,
5 and 6 are connected to the selection circuit 19, and reed switches 8, 9, 10, and 11 are connected to the selection circuit 19, respectively.
along with the output of AND gates 20, 21, 22, 2
Connected to 3. And change capacity determination device 1
2 sets the selection signals X and Y to high level or low level to the selection circuit 19, respectively, and operates the coin detection switch 4,
5 and 6 respectively, and further outputs a forward rotation signal a and a reverse rotation signal b to the motor control section 24 to control the drive motor 1.
3 is configured to rotate forward and reverse. Therefore, when determining the change capacity, the determination device 12 outputs the normal rotation signal a to rotate the drive motor 13 in the normal direction to move the shelf 17 upward, and also outputs the selection signals X and Y in a time-sharing manner.
Coin detection switches 4, 5, 6 are repeatedly selected in sequence by
AND gate 20,2 every time it reaches 10,11
The change capacity is determined based on the output states of 1, 22, and 23. For example, when the shelf 17 is in a standby state where the reed switch 8 is in the position, the coin detection switch 5 outputs a high-level signal indicating the presence of change in the change pipe 2 through the AND gate 20, and then the drive motor 13 is rotated in the normal direction to store the coin on the shelf. 17 reaches the reed switch 9, the coin detection switch 5 outputs a low level signal indicating that change is out to the AND gate 21, and the determining device 12 determines that the number of 100 yen change coins is in the range of 10 to 20. This is detected and the capacity for 100 yen change is set to 10. On the other hand, when the coin detection switch 5 outputs a low level signal from the AND gate 22 only when the shelf 17 reaches the reed switch 10, the determination device 12 detects that there are 20 to 30 100 yen change coins. Detect and set the 100 yen change capacity to 20 pieces. In addition, the determination device 12 repeatedly selects the coin detection switches 4, 5, and 6 in sequence in a time-sharing manner.
Each time the coins reach the reed switches 8, 9, 10, 11, the output states of all the coin detection switches 4, 5, 6 are scanned to detect the capacity of each type of change. When the shelf 17 reaches the reed switch 11, the reversal signal b is outputted after the above-mentioned detection operation is completed to lower the shelf 17, and when the shelf 17 reaches the lowermost reed switch 8, the drive motor 13 is stopped.

In this example, the range of the number of stored change is detected by checking the presence or absence of change every 10 pieces, and the lowest range value is set as the change capacity, so the judgment is rough, but this is done every 5 pieces. If you place a reed switch to check whether there is change or not, you can detect a value that is fairly close to the actual amount. Further, the reed switches are not necessarily arranged in accordance with a predetermined number of coins; for example, the reed switches may be arranged every 5 coins below the change pipe, and every 10 coins above the change pipe. By arranging the reed switch in this manner, it is possible to accurately detect the number of change when the amount of change decreases, and to perform detailed sale approval/disapproval operations.

(G) Effects of the invention The present invention described in detail above moves the coin detection switch for each change pipe installed in parallel to determine the presence or absence of change for any number of coins. Therefore, since the change capacity can be grasped, it is particularly effective in a vending machine into which banknotes can be inserted. Moreover, since the coin detection switch is transferred by a transfer device, the amount of change stored can be determined without providing a plurality of switches along the change pipe.
