Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide a seal mechanism of a damper capable of obtaining a positive sealing property and contributing to the improvement in the productivity by constitut ing the seal mechanism of a ridge part formed on one surface of a main damper body so as to oppose the opening peripheral edge part of an opening part, and a sealing member made of an elastic material resiliently contacting the peripheral edge part by the ride part when the damper is closed. CONSTITUTION:A main damper body 1 is formed by plastics, for example, into the shape of a rectangular plate, and a ridge part 2 of a sectional reverse V-shape is formed across the entire periphery of a quadrilateral part 1. On one side of the main damper body 1 a scroll part 3 is provided, and a support shaft 4 is inserted therethrough. A sealing member 5 is formed into a square shape in correspondence to the shape of the main damper body 1, and is pasted to the main damper body 1 by means of a bonding agent thereby to form a rib part 5a. The main damper body 1 is rotatably mounted on the opening peripheral edge part of a duct 6 through the support edge part of the duct 6 through the support shaft 4. By the rotation of the main damper body 1 in a direction shown by an arrow S, the rib part 5a elastically makes contact with the opening peripheral edge part 6b of the duct 6, and a vent path 6a is closed.

[Prior art 1] Conventionally, in air conditioners for vehicles, a damper has been used to switch between inside and outside air and change the blowout position of an air outlet. ing. Such a damper is, for example, made of a plastic damper body and a polyurethane foam plate bonded to it as a sealing member, and when closed, the damper contacts the peripheral edge of the Itf1 opening via the polyurethane foam plate. A protrusion is formed in a loop shape on the polyurethane foam plate, and the protrusion comes into elastic contact with the peripheral edge of the opening. This is to suppress the deformation 8 of the entire polyurethane foam board to a small extent and improve the operability of the damper when the work is closed.

[Problems to be Solved by the Invention] However, in the case where the polyurethane foam board is provided with protrusions as described above, unlike the case where the protrusion portions are provided on the polyurethane foam board, the manufacturing process requires molding, unlike the case where thin slices are required. For this reason, the cost tends to increase, and there are disadvantages in that the manufacturing process is time-consuming and productivity is reduced.

Regarding the sealing mechanism of the damper as described above, Japanese Utility Model Publication No. 59-5254M is filed with Toyota Motor Corporation as the applicant.
Although this invention has been described in Japanese Utility Model Publication No. 59-5254, the present invention has been made based on a unique technical idea that is completely different from the viewpoint of the Japanese Utility Model Publication No. 59-5254. That is, the present invention was made to eliminate the above-mentioned problems, and its purpose is to provide good operability by requiring a small force when closing the damper, and to ensure reliable sealing performance, as well as being advantageous in terms of cost. To provide a sealing mechanism for a damper that can be manufactured quickly and contributes to overall improvement in productivity.

[Means for Solving the Problems] The present invention provides a damper for opening and opening an air passage.
A protrusion formed on one surface of the damper body to face the 1ilD peripheral edge of this frontage, and a protrusion that is attached to the damper body in close contact so as to cover the protrusion while being elastically deformed. and a sealing member made of an elastic material that comes into elastic contact with the peripheral edge of the opening through the protrusion when closed.

[Function] According to the present invention configured as described above, when the seal member is attached to the damper body, the shape of the seal member is originally thinly sliced because the seal member is sometimes deformed so as to follow the protrusion. This means that a flat object can be used.

First, in FIGS. 1 and 2, a damper body 1 is formed into a rectangular plate shape using a plastic material such as ABS resin, and protrusions 2 having an inverted V-shaped cross section are formed on the four sides of the damper body 1. It is formed over a period of time. A scroll portion 3 along the protruding strip 2 is provided on one side of the damper body 1, and a support shaft 4 is inserted into the scroll portion 3.

The sealing member 5 is made of polyurethane foam, for example, and is formed into a rectangular shape corresponding to the damper body 1, and as shown in FIG. There is. At this time, since the sealing member 5 has elasticity, it forms a rib portion 5a that rises and falls according to the shape of the protrusion portion 2.

On the other hand, as shown in FIGS. 4 and 5, the duct 6 in the air conditioner has an internal ventilation path 6a for cooling and heating air, and finally an air outlet (not shown) as an opening facing into the passenger compartment. is connected to. At the opening periphery of this duct 6,
The damper main body 1 described above is rotatably mounted via a support shaft 4.

Then, as the damper body 1 rotates in the direction of arrow S, the rib portion 5a of the seal member 5 comes into elastic contact with the opening peripheral portion 6b of the duct 6, closing the air passage 6a and eventually the air outlet. When the rib portion 5a rotates in the direction of the arrow O, the rib portion 5a separates from the frontage peripheral portion 6b of the duct 6, and the air outlet is opened.
During air conditioning operation, warm or cold air is discharged into the vehicle interior.

According to the above configuration, when the air outlet is closed, the rib portion 5a of the sealing member 5 comes into elastic contact with the opening peripheral portion 6b of the duct 6, so that good sealing performance is obtained and mold and mildew deformation of the sealing member is prevented. Unlike larger ones, it has a small turning force and is easy to operate.

Next, the present invention will be explained as follows.
, a second embodiment applied to a TI replacement box will be described based on FIG. The inside/outside air switching box 7 has a function of selectively introducing inside air and outside air during air conditioning operation. In this internal/external air switching box 7, a blower 10 consisting of a fan 8 and a motor 9 is disposed in the lower half, and an internal air intake 11 and an external air intake 12 as openings are provided in the upper half. each formed. The damper main body 13 is disposed in the upper half of the internal/external air switching box 7, and is rotatably supported by a support shaft 14 via a scroll 15. Projections 16 and 17 each having an inverted V-shaped cross section and corresponding to the inside air intake port 11 and the outside air intake port 12 are formed on each peripheral edge of the front and back surfaces of the damper book 13. Seal members 18.19 made of an elastic material such as polyurethane foam are adhered to both the front and back surfaces of the damper body 13, and the portions elastically deformed into convex shapes along the protrusions 16.17 are attached to rib portions 20.21. It is said that

Therefore, when it is desired to take in outside air during air conditioning operation, the damper main body 13 is in the position shown in FIG. , this intake port 11 is closed. Moreover, when it is desired to take in inside air, the damper main body 13 is rotated from the state shown in FIG. 6 in the direction shown by the arrow X, and the inside air intake port 11 is opened. Accordingly, the rib portion 21 of the sealing member 19 comes into elastic contact with the opening peripheral portion of the outside air intake port 12, thereby closing the intake port 12.
