The armrest body is formed by injection molding from materials such as
Reference numeral 2 denotes a pad portion provided on the upper surface of the armrest main body 1, which includes a band material 3 made of, for example, a foamed urethane foam material, and a mounting leg portion 4a embedded in this pad material 3, which is bored into the upper surface of the armrest main body 2a. It is formed by a core material 4 that is locked in the attachment hole 1a, and a fabric 5 that covers the pad material 3.

The structure is complicated, and the fabric 5 of the pad portion 2 is pasted on later, which requires a lot of man-hours, and these factors together result in high costs.

ムレストの製造方法を提供することを目的とする。The present invention has been made by focusing on these conventional problems, and it is possible to obtain an inexpensive armrest with fabric that has a simple structure and requires less man-hours.Moreover, the fabric retains its position reliably and is difficult to peel off from the armrest body. It is an object of the present invention to provide a method for manufacturing an armrest with fabric as described above.

のである。In order to achieve such an object, the present invention has a parting section of a fabric to be covered on the upper surface of the armrest body, which has been previously formed into a product shape, inside an injection mold for injection molding the armrest body. The molten resin is set to be placed in a concave gap formed in a part of the resin injection gap, and the molten resin is injected into the resin injection gap through the opening of a gate provided on the upstream side of the concave gap. The parting part of the fabric is pressed against the mold.

In this state, the outer mold 12 is combined with the inner mold (commonly called core mold) 13 and closed.

In this case, the molten resin 19 injected from the opening of each gate 18 first flows while being dispersed in the direction of the arrow, as shown in FIG. flows to the side. At this time, the parting portion 11a of the fabric 11 is pressed against the protrusion 15 of the outer mold 12 by the flowing molten resin 19 in the concave space 17.

Furthermore, during injection molding, the parting part 11a of the fabric 11 is pressed against the protrusion 15 of the outer mold 12 by the flowing molten resin, so that the fabric 11 is reliably held in position, firmly attached to the armrest body 20, and does not peel off. It becomes difficult.

The parting part 11a of the fabric 11 placed in the concave gap 17 is intermittently held between the inner bottom surface of the concave groove 14 in the inner mold 13, and the injection pressure during injection molding is applied. Preventing the fabric 11 from shifting,
