Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable the bonding of adherends such as wood, etc., with simple operation and apparatus in a short time, by placing an electrically heat- generating metal in combination with an adhesive between adherends and heating the adhesive with electric current. CONSTITUTION:An electrically heat-generating metal 2 (e.g. stainless steel plate having perforations 7) is placed on a substrate material 1. an adhesive 6 (e.g. powder of ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer) is placed on the top of the electrically heat-generating metal 2 and a plywood 3 is placed on the adhesive. The adhesive 6 is heated by electrifying the electrically heat-generating metal 2 to effect the bonding of the substrate material 1 and the plywood 3. The electrically heat-generating metal 2 may be integrated with a hot-melt adhesive before use.

Problems to be Solved by the Invention In the conventional bonding method using a double-sided adhesive, the heating means must be performed in a previous step that has no relation to the members to be bonded. There wasn't. The present invention attempts to enable heat bonding between members to be bonded, thereby solving the complicated and high cost of the conventional method.

Means for Solving the Problems Therefore, the present invention provides the following features: 1. When bonding target members such as wood and plywood using a melt adhesive or the like, an energized heat-generating metal is placed between the target members together with the adhesive. Then, the adhesive is heated by energization, and the adhesive is solidified by stopping the energization for one time, thereby bonding the members to be bonded.

According to the method of the present invention, when a suitably adjusted current is passed through the energized heat-generating metal coexisting with the hot melt adhesive, the energized heat-generating metal reaches a predetermined temperature, and the members to be bonded are bonded together. Make it possible. When the electricity is turned off, the adhesive solidifies and the bonding is completed.

FIG. 1 is a perspective view showing a case where the objects to be bonded are wood, a hexagonal stainless steel plate (30μ thick) is used as the energized heat generating metal, and EVA is used as the hot melt adhesive. In this example, an energized heat-generating metal (2) is placed on a base material (1), EVA powder is placed on top of it as an adhesive (6), and a plywood (3) is further placed. When a current of IV and IOA was applied to the energizing metal (2), the temperature reached 150°C in about 1 minute and it became molten, and the current was immediately stopped and the metal was left at room temperature. The adhesion state was examined after 3 minutes, but both tensile stress and shear stress were observed.
It was as strong as the conventional method.

In FIG. 2, one of the members to be bonded is a wooden pallet deck member (4), and the other is a paper tube (5). A hexagonal aluminum foil with a thickness of 30 μm was used as the energized heat generating metal (2), and a 2-liquid crystal composite epoxy resin (1) was used as the adhesive (6). Place a paper tube (5) on aluminum foil with a knee hole, apply adhesive on top of it, adhere it to the baren 1-deck member, and apply electricity to the six-hole aluminum foil on the heat-generating metal (2) at 1.5V, 20Δ. When I turned on the power and left it, 5
The adhesion was completed within minutes. The conventional method required about 3 hours, so it was found that the workability was very good.
