Abstract

PURPOSE:The titled paste suitable for glaze treatment for ceramic substrate containing a metallized metal part, using isobutyl methacrylate as a binder. CONSTITUTION:(A) Glass composition powder (particle size; about 200mesh passing) is blended with (B) about 5-20wt% isobytyl methacrylate as a binder, and (C) a solvent (e.g., alpha-terpineol). The prepared paste for graze has improved printability, and does not blacker a glaze layer even in calcining in a reducing atmosphere when the graze layer is fused to a ceramic substrate.

This conventional glazed ceramic substrate is usually made of ff made of Si, 02, B2O3, Al2O3, etc. on the surface of a ceramic substrate made of alumina, beryllia, etc.
A paste made by adding 5-staining powder, a preservative such as ethylcellulose or nitrocellulose, and a solvent such as isoamyl acetate or ethylcellulose is applied by screen printing, and then the ceramic is coated. It is manufactured by firing the substrate and welding the glaze paste to the ceramic substrate, and the surface is coated with tungsten (
~v) In the case of a ceramic substrate having a metallized metal part such as molybdenum (Mo), it is produced by firing in a reducing atmosphere in order to prevent the metallized metal part from being oxidized and destroyed.

(Problem to be Solved by the Invention) However, when this conventional glazing paste is fired in a reducing atmosphere and the ceramic substrate surface; Because the temperature at which the glass is heated is higher than the softening point of the glass composition, and the binder is not oxidized but carbonized, a charcoal bed is dug into the glaze layer, resulting in blackening of the glaze layer. was.

(Purpose of the Invention) In view of the above drawbacks, the present inventors have conducted various experiments and found that if isobutyl methacrylate, which decomposes and scatters at a temperature lower than the softening point of the glass composition, is used as a binder for a glaze paste, the glaze paste has extremely excellent printing properties, and when welding a glaze layer to the surface of a ceramic substrate, even if it is fired in a reducing atmosphere, the isobutyl methacrylate binder decomposes and scatters before the glass composition softens and carbonizes. It was found that the glaze layer was not soaked into the glaze layer at all, and the blackening of the glaze layer was effectively prevented. .

The glass is heated and melted at a temperature of 00°C to create glass for glaze. Next, this is wet-pulverized using a ball mill, dried, and then subjected to a 200-mesh bath and sized. Finally, isobutyl methacrylate as a binder is weighed as shown in the table below, diluted with α-terpineol (solvent), added to the glass powder, and kneaded in a crusher for 1 hour to form a glaze. A paste sample was obtained.

Using the thus obtained glaze paste, a glaze with a length of 5 ff and a width of 5 ml was placed on a 100 gm square substrate made of alumina.
50 patterns with a thickness of 100 itm are printed through an 80 mesh screen, and then fired at a temperature of approximately 1200°C in a reducing atmosphere (nitrogen-hydrogen atmosphere) to form a glaze layer on the surface of the ceramic substrate. I let it happen. Next, the glaze layer was inspected using a microscope, and the bleed of the glaze layer was examined, as well as the number of blackened layers, and the rate of discoloration was calculated. The above results are shown in the table below.

(Effect of the invention) As can be seen from the above experimental results, the entire glaze layer using a conventional glaze paste whose binder is ethyl cellulose or nitrocellulose color turns black, whereas the binder The glaze layer using the glaze paste of the present invention made of isobutyl methacrylate has almost no blackening, and there is almost no bleeding of the glaze layer, so the printability of the glaze paste is also extremely excellent. When the amount of isobutyl methacrylate added is in the range of 5 to 20 wt%, there will be no blackening of the glaze layer, and the printability of the glaze paste will be extremely excellent.

Therefore, the glaze paste of the present invention is extremely useful as a material for a glaze layer welded to the surface of a ceramic substrate having a metallized metal portion.
