In addition, window air conditioners must be made smaller because they are installed on windows, but when equipped with a variable capacity compressor controlled by an inverter, the amount of heat generated by the inverter control section is large. The inverter control section burns out due to heat. In addition, one way to prevent such burnout is to cool it, but to do so, it is necessary to increase the space for cooling or provide a dedicated cooling fan. -However, it had the disadvantage that it took up a large space and was not suitable as a window air conditioner.

In the figure, reference numeral 1 denotes an air conditioner main body, in which an inlet 2, an outlet 3, and an operation part 4 for controlling nitrogen control operation are provided on the front surface of the indoor side, and an intake port 5 and an exhaust port are provided on the rear surface of the outdoor side. 6 are provided respectively. 7 is a partition plate that partitions the inside of the air conditioner body 1 into an indoor ventilation circuit 8 and an outdoor ventilation circuit 9. The indoor ventilation circuit 8 communicates with the inlet 2 and the outlet 3, and the interior is provided with an indoor heat exchanger 10 and an indoor fan motor 11 that constitute a well-known refrigeration cycle, and the indoor fan motor 11 is equipped with an indoor fan 1.
2 are connected. The outdoor ventilation circuit 9 communicates with the intake port 5 and the exhaust port 6, and includes an outdoor heat exchanger 13 and an outdoor fan motor 14 which together with the indoor heat exchanger 10 constitute a well-known refrigeration cycle. An outdoor fan 15 is connected to the outdoor fan motor 14 . Furthermore, between the partition plate 7 and the lower part of the indoor ventilation circuit 8, an electrical equipment box 16 for inverter control and a variable capacity compressor 17 linked to the inverter control are provided. Electrical components 18 for control are housed. A is an open passage that connects the outdoor side of the air conditioner main body 1 and the electrical equipment box 16, and B is an open passage that connects the electrical equipment box 16 and the outdoor ventilation circuit 9. Therefore, the outdoor side of the air conditioner main body 1, the electrical equipment box 16, and the outdoor side ventilation circuit 9 are communicated with each other by the open passages A and B, and the open passages A and B are connected to the outdoor side ventilation circuit 9. It is located on the negative pressure side of the circuit 9.

In the above configuration, when air conditioning operation is performed, a wind circuit is formed in the indoor ventilation circuit 8 in which air is blown from the suction port 2 through the indoor heat exchanger 10 and from the outlet 3 by the indoor fan 12; In the ventilation circuit 9, a wind circuit is formed in which the outdoor fan 15 blows air from the intake port 5 through the outdoor heat exchanger 13 and from the exhaust port 6, and the indoor air conditioning is performed by this ventilation circuit.

In the above-mentioned air conditioning state, the outdoor air flows from the open passage A into the electrical equipment box 16 because the open passages A and B are located on the negative pressure side of the outdoor ventilation circuit 9. The outdoor air that enters the electrical equipment box 16 cools the electrical equipment 18 for controlling the inverter, passes through the outdoor ventilation circuit 9, and is radiated to the outdoor side.

Effects of the Invention As is clear from the above embodiments, the present invention allows air from outside to flow into the inverter control section, thereby making it possible to cool the air conditioner without making the main body thicker. Furthermore, since the air flowing in for cooling is flowing from outside to outside, the heat generated from the electrical components of the inverter control unit during cooling operation does not leak into the room, so the cooling capacity does not decrease.
