As shown in FIG. 1, the optical cord has a tensile strength fiber layer 3 coated on an optical fiber core 2, and a plastic jacket 4 covering the outer periphery thereof. The connection between the optical fiber core 2, the tensile strength fiber layer 3, and the plastic sheath 4 in the optical cord 1 is such that when the core wire 2 is pulled while holding the sheath 4, the core wire 2 easily comes out. It is weak against Further, the optical fiber core wire 2 is made of a silicone protective layer and a nylon coating on the optical fiber, but when connecting the optical fiber, it is necessary to remove the nylon coating over a predetermined length. A wire stripper or the like is used to remove this covering, and the core wire 2 comes out of the tensile strength fiber layer 3 and the outer covering 4 due to the axial force applied during the removal.

Conventionally, in order to avoid such slippage of the core wire 2, the coating of the core wire 2 was removed by wrapping the optical cord 1 around the user's hand. However, when the optical cord is handled in this manner, the optical fiber core wire may be broken, and furthermore, the optical cord may be bent, causing problems in proceeding with related work after the coating is removed. On the other hand, if a connector etc. is attached to the other side of the optical cord to be connected in this way, it is undesirable to apply tension to the optical fiber core wire at the connector attachment part, so when removing the coating from the optical fiber core wire, it is undesirable. Extremely careful work is required to ensure that the load does not reach the connector part.
There is a need for a device for preventing the core wire from slipping out of the cord jacket when removing the optical fiber core sheath.

2 to 4 show embodiments of the present invention,
Reference numeral 10 denotes a rectangular plate made of metal such as aluminum or hard polyethylene, and reference numeral 11 indicates a tensile strength fiber layer of the cord and a coated portion of the optical fiber core exposed from the outer sheath, which is parallel to one side of the plate 10. The opening width for accommodating the lower half is a V-groove that is slightly larger than the diameter of the core wire coating. Reference numeral 12 denotes a rectangular groove for accommodating the lower half of the outer sheath of the cord, and a portion 12a for accommodating the lower half of the cord connection component, which will be described later, is formed at the outlet end of the groove. There is. These core wire sheathing grooves 11 and cord sheathing grooves 12
is linear and extends through both ends of the plate 10.
15 is a rectangular plate made of the same material as the plate 10, one side of which is connected to one side of the rectangular plate 10 by an openable/closable connecting member 14 such as a hinge, and has a core wire sheathing groove accommodating groove. A hard rubber plate 16 having appropriate elasticity and hardness is attached to a portion corresponding to the length of the cord 11, and a similar portion is attached to a portion corresponding to the jacket portion receiving groove 12 of the plate-like cord 10. A rectangular groove 17 for accommodating the upper half of the cord jacket portion is provided in which a portion 17a for accommodating the upper half of the connecting component is formed. When both plate bodies 10 and 15 are closed by the openable/closable connecting body 14, they are fully overlapped, and the hard rubber plate 16 covers the entire length of the optical fiber coated part housing groove 11, and also has a part for connection. Component housing part 12
Cord jacket part housing groove 1 formed with a and 17a
2 and 17 are arranged to overlap. Plate 1
5 is formed shorter than the plate body 10 on the side of the cord jacket portion receiving groove 17. This is the end portion where both plates 10 and 15 do not overlap so that the outer sheath of the cord to be connected will fit into the groove 12 of the plate 10, so that the outer sheath of the cord will not come off the groove 12. This is to allow the plates 15 to be overlapped while pressing with fingers.

When connecting optical cords to each other, as shown in FIG. 5, the cord sheath 4 is cut off so that the required length of the optical fiber core 2 is exposed at the end of the cord, and the cut end of the cord sheath 4 is Align the ends of the inner sleeve 20 inserted in advance, fold and cover the outer periphery of the inner sleeve 20 with the tensile strength fiber layer 3 of the cord 1, insert the outer sleeve 21 on the outer periphery, and glue these together with instant adhesive. etc., to form a connection component 1a. The cord end formed in this way is accommodated in the core wire accommodating groove 11 of the plate body 10, and the jacket portion 1 of the cord having the connection component 1a is inserted into the connection component 1a. While the cord is housed in the cord sheathing groove 12 so that it is housed in the connection component accommodating part 12a, press the end of the cord sheathing part that has entered the cord sheathing groove 12 with your fingers, After keeping each part stationary, rotate the plate 15 to cover both plates 10 and 1.
5 are pressed against each other, the core wire 2 is elastically clamped by the housing groove 11 and the hard rubber plate 16 and held so as not to move. Therefore, the coating of the core wire 2 may be removed using a coating removal tool. At this time, even if the core wire 2 is pulled in the length direction to remove the sheathing of the core wire 2 with a sheath removal tool, the core wire 2 itself elastically covers the housing groove 11 and the upper half of the core wire sheathing part. The core wire 2 does not come out from the cord because it is strongly held by the hard rubber plate 16 which has a large frictional resistance and deforms and presses it down. Even when a connector is attached to the other end of the cord, no force is applied to the connector portion. If the length of the core wire accommodation groove 11 is set to be the same as the predetermined length of the core wire, the coating can be removed by applying the coating removal tool to both end surfaces of both plates 11 and 15. At the same time as the removal, the core wire 2 can be cut out to a predetermined size. In addition, if the core wire 2 is held with the clip of the present invention, a part of the outer sheath of the cord having the connecting component 1a at the end is also held at the same time, so there is a risk that the core wire 2 may be bent at its exposed end. There is no.

As shown in FIG. 5, the inner sleeve 20 and outer sleeve 21 are used to form a connection component not only for connecting optical cords, but also for forming a connection end to a measuring instrument, etc. , when the core wire 2 is just exposed from the jacket 4 of the cord 1, the core wire 2
Of course, it can also be used in the same way when removing a coating. When used for removing the core wire coating only in such cases, the cord jacket part accommodation groove 12,
Since it is not necessary to specifically form connection component housing portions 12a and 17a in grooves 12 and 17,
may have the same dimensions over the entire length.

Note that the core wire accommodation groove 11 is not limited to a V shape, but a semicircular shape,
You can also make it into a rectangular groove. Further, the cord jacket portion receiving grooves 12 and 17 are not limited to a rectangular shape, but may have a semicircular or other shape.

As described above, the optical cord clip of the present invention can be used by simply storing the optical fiber sheathing part and the outer sheath part of the cord in the respective grooves of one plate and closing the other plate so that they overlap. The hard rubber plate with high frictional resistance elastically deforms and presses the upper half of the optical fiber coating, the lower half of which is housed in the optical fiber coating housing groove of the plate.
By strongly and securely clamping the optical fiber core, it is possible to effectively prevent the core wire from coming off from the tensile strength fiber layer and the outer sheath due to the axial tensile force when the core wire is removed. Even if a connector is attached to the other side, this will not be affected. In addition, since the outer covering portion of the cord is supported along with the core wire, the core wire does not bend at the exposed end, and the wire sheathing removal operation can be easily and stably performed. Furthermore, if the length of the core wire receiving groove is set to be the same length as the required length of the core wire, the core wire can be pulled out to the required size at the same time as the coating is removed.
