[Detailed Description of the Invention] The present invention relates to a hose reinforced by spirally winding fibers around the outer periphery.

As shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, this type of hose has fibers 2 (hereinafter referred to as inner layer fibers) wound around the outer periphery of a rubber hose 1 in a spiral shape, and further wound in a direction intersecting with the inner layer fibers 2. There is a type in which fibers 3 (hereinafter referred to as outer layer fibers) are wound in a spiral shape, and conventionally, inner layer fibers 2 and outer layer fibers 3
used the same material.

By the way, the internal pressure of the fluid in hose 1
When the fibers expand in the radial direction, tension is first applied to the lower layer fibers 2. Then, since the lower layer fibers 2 are inclined with respect to the circumferential direction of the hose, twisting occurs in the hose 1 in one direction of rotation. As the expansion further progresses, tension is applied to the upper layer fibers 3, and the hose 1 is twisted in the opposite direction of rotation.
The initial twist is corrected.

However, since the tension applied to the inner layer fibers 2 is much greater than the tension applied to the outer layer fibers 3, twisting remains in the hose 1, reducing the durability of the hose 1. Moreover, an excessive burden will be placed on the lower layer fibers 2.

Therefore, the purpose of the present invention is to provide a fiber-reinforced hose that prevents twisting and does not place excessive stress on the lower layer fibers, and the lower layer fibers are made to have a lower tensile modulus than the upper layer. This will achieve the above objectives.

More specifically, in FIGS. 1 and 2,
First, nylon fibers are spirally wound around the rubber hose 1 as the lower layer fibers 2, and aromatic polyamide fibers are spirally wound thereon as the upper layer fibers 3 in a direction intersecting the inner layer fibers 2. Further, the top thereof is covered with a cover rubber (not shown) if necessary. Note that rayon fibers subjected to wet heat treatment may be used as the inner layer fibers, and rayon fibers subjected to dry heat treatment may be used as the outer layer fibers.

However, in the hose of the present invention, as the internal pressure increases, tension is first applied to the lower layer fiber 2, which causes twisting in one direction of rotation, but since the lower layer fiber 2 has a small tensile modulus, the outer layer fiber 2 immediately Tension is added to the rotation direction, and twisting occurs in the opposite direction of rotation, erasing the previous twisting.
Twisting becomes almost non-existent. In addition, tension is first applied to the inner layer fibers 2 due to internal pressure, but tension is also immediately applied to the outer layer fibers 3, so the burden due to the internal pressure is applied to both the inner and outer fiber layers 2 and 3, placing an excessive burden only on the inner layer fibers 2. The durability of the rubber hose is greatly improved.
