Abstract

PURPOSE:To decrease troubles of the user selecting a test equipment by adding a type identification function of a calling terminal to a data telephone terminal test equipment to eliminate the need for provision of a subscriber number by terminal equipment types. CONSTITUTION:An incoming calling signal is received by a response circuit section. The 2nd dial tone is transmitted to a data telephone terminal through a dial tone transmission section by the operation of a ring trip circuit. The information from the data telephone terminal is waited for reception during a certain time and type identification information of the data telephone terminal is received by a PB receiver PBREC by using the PB signal. A communication mode switching control section MCCONT identifies the communication mode (PB/FM) from the received information to connect a channel coupling section SP and an FM signal transmission/reception section FMRS thereby transmitting a terminal type identification end signal to the data telephone terminal.
