Generally, crawlers have protrusions or lugs on the outer circumferential surface of the endless band-shaped elastic body to increase traction force, and these lugs are arranged in parallel at a constant pitch in the circumferential direction of the band-shaped body. When driving in muddy areas, mud adheres between the lugs,
As a result, the function of the lug gradually deteriorates, and eventually it becomes as if the lug does not exist. As a result, the traction force decreases, and in some cases, a slip condition may occur, which may impede driving.

Due to the structure of crawlers, it has traditionally been difficult to avoid such a situation.

According to the present invention, this purpose is achieved by attaching the lugs to the side of the band-shaped main body having lugs arranged in parallel at a constant pitch in the circumferential direction on the outer circumferential side.
This is an extension of the lug in the belt-like main body and is distantly related to the crawler provided with a fin-like part having substantially the same shape as the lug.

次に添付図面により本考案を更に詳細に説明する。Next, the present invention will be explained in more detail with reference to the accompanying drawings.

FIG. 1 shows a first embodiment of the present invention, in which 1 is a strip-shaped body made of rubber or similar elastic material;
Reference numeral 2 denotes lugs arranged in parallel at a constant pitch in the circumferential direction on the outer circumferential side thereof.

Similar to conventional crawlers, core metals 3 are embedded in the belt-shaped body 1 at regular intervals in correspondence with each lug 2, and tensile reinforcing materials 4 such as steel cords are further provided surrounding these core metals. It is buried (see Figure 2).

As shown in FIG. 1, each core metal 3
A sprocket engagement hole 5 is provided in between, and the teeth of a drive sprocket that winds a crawler mounted on a vehicle at one end engage with this engagement hole 5 one after another and press the core metal 3. The crawler is driven to rotate.

The present invention is such that a crawler is provided with a fin-like part 6 on the side of the belt-like main body 1, which is an extension of the lug 2 in the belt-like main body 1 and has substantially the same shape. In the embodiment, the fins 6 are formed by extensions of lugs projecting outwardly from the strip body 1.

As mentioned above, such fin-like parts 6 do not have the rubber part forming the band-like main body 1, and have approximately the same shape as the lugs 2, and actually have a narrow length (i.e., the length in the width direction of the band-like main body). When the diameter) is 200 to 50-, it is approximately 20 to 75 mm.

These fins 6 act to scrape mud that gets stuck between the fins when the crawler runs on muddy ground, and the stuck mud is easily pulled out and falls off, preventing mud from getting stuck between the lugs of the messenger strip body. Even if it adheres and stagnates, the traction force is maintained by the fin-like parts.

Therefore, since the fin-like portion 6 has a shape in which the flat rubber portion extending from the belt-like main body 1 is completely removed, mud can be easily removed and the traction force is large.

Further, in order to increase the traction force by the fin-like portions, a reinforcing material such as an iron plate may be buried inside the fin-like portions.

As mentioned above, the traction force can be provided by the fins 6, but at this time, the flat part of the belt-like body 1 between the lugs rides on the mud, dispersing the ground pressure of the crawler, preventing it from sinking, and It has the effect of solidifying the ground.

The length of the core metal is usually 120 to 300 mm, and is about 4 mm long with respect to the widthwise length of the belt-like main body constituting the crawler.
Usually the length is between 0 and 80%, preferably between 45 and 75%.

Fig. 4 shows that the ground plane of the belt-shaped main body part 1 is made into an arcuate or inclined surface facing outward, so that mud stuck between the lugs is pushed out to both sides by the action of the ground pressure, that is, soil removal performance is improved. This figure shows a case in which a configuration like this is also installed.

According to such a configuration, the ground contact pressure in the central part becomes large, so that the action of pushing out the mud is obtained, and the combination of the fin-like part 6 and the ground contact surface further improves the running performance in wet fields. It is.

Figures 5 to 8 show various other embodiments. In Figure 5, fins 6 are provided alternately on the left and right, and the spacing between adjacent fins is increased to improve soil removal. At the same time, the side portions between the lugs are made more open, making it easier to remove mud between the lugs.

Figure 6 shows a case in which the fins 6 are inclined in a V-shape with respect to the direction of crawler movement to improve earth removal performance.
The figure shows a case where the fin-like portions 6 are provided only on one side, and FIG. 8 shows a case where the fin-like portions 6 are provided on an extension of the inclined lugs 2 arranged in a staggered manner.

As described above, according to the present invention, even if a situation occurs in which the lugs in the belt-shaped body of the crawler become clogged with mud and lose their function when traveling in a muddy area, the lugs protrude laterally from the belt-shaped body. The fins act like paddles and scrape the mud, thereby maintaining traction and preventing slippage.
