Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a solidifying agent for sludge, etc. by mixing fly ash, lime, and aluminum salts in a specified ratio. CONSTITUTION:50-250kg a treating agent consisting of 50-80% fly ash, 15- 40% lime, and 5-10% aluminum salt such as aluminum sulfate is added to 1m<3> of a water-contg. material such as silt, sludge, soft ground, etc. The solid material having high strength and without a fear of returning again to mud can be obtained in this way.

For the purpose of solidifying these wastes, cement-sodium silicate-based treatment agents or treatment agents with added lime, etc. have been proposed, but both require a large amount of treatment agent and are difficult to process and solidify. It cannot be said that the product is sufficient in terms of strength and water resistance.

On the other hand, with the rise in oil prices, coal-fired power generation is being reconsidered, but the combustion of coal naturally produces coal ash, or fly ash, and its disposal is an issue that will need to be considered in the future. . Since fly ash itself does not have hydraulic properties, it is currently used with the addition of about 10-30% cement (K) as an admixture. As a result of repeated research on the properties of fly ash, the inventor found that it is difficult to solidify even when water is added to a mixture of fly ash and lime, but when a small amount of aluminum sulfate is added, a reaction occurs quickly and solidifies. Based on this discovery, the present invention was established.

The sludge or sludge may contain a large amount of organic matter, such as valve sludge or leather sludge, or may contain oil, such as oil sludge deposited at the bottom of an oil tank.
It may also be one containing heavy metals, such as plating sludge. The treatment agent of the present invention can also be used to solidify particulate waste such as incineration ash and dust by adding moisture if necessary. The treatment agent of the present invention generally has a concentration of about 50% per m3 of water-containing material.
Approximately 250 kg is used, but a larger or smaller amount may be used depending on the water content, density, components, etc. of the hydrated material.

As shown in Tables 1 and 2, when the treatment agent of the present invention is used, a solidified product with much higher strength than that of cement or lime can be obtained, and there is no risk of re-silting.
