Abstract

PURPOSE:To prepare a large amount of the titled compound important to health efficiently without adding a drug, etc. and without losing vitamin A, by irradiating seaweeds with ultraviolet light with wave length in a given range. CONSTITUTION:Seaweeds such as a sea lettuce, green laver, Hizikia fusiforme, a sea tangle, etc. with ultraviolet light with 280-320mm. wave length, so that ergosterol contained in the seaweeds is easily activated, to give the desired substance. EFFECT:Heat is not generated by irradiation, and vitamin D2 obtained by irradiation is more luster than one without irradiation. Preparation is not affected by weather, and this process is a useful process.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION The present invention relates to a method for producing vitamin D2 in algae, and in particular, the present invention relates to a method for producing vitamin D2 in algae.
Algae such as Aonori, Amanori, Arame, Iwanori, Ogonori, Kawanori, Konbu, Hijiki, Wakame, and Mozuku are irradiated to convert the ergosterol present in the algae into vitamin D.
2, it can be produced efficiently and economically.

The chemical changes that occur when ergosterol is irradiated with ultraviolet rays to produce vitamin D2 are as follows.By the way, ergosterol exists in shiitake mushrooms, and it was reported in Japanese Patent Publication No. 51-26493 that vitamin D2 is produced by ultraviolet rays.
The present inventors confirmed the existence of ergosteol in algae and irradiated it with specific ultraviolet light (wavelength 280 to 320 nm). We succeeded in efficiently producing a large amount of vitamin D2, which is important for health, without the addition of chemicals or reactions, and without losing the vitamin A present in i[.

It was also confirmed that when processed outdoors under sunlight, vitamin D2 is produced by ultraviolet rays of 280 to 320 nm, but the amount is small and it takes a long time.

In recent years, in order to obtain economically clean and homogeneous edible seaweed,
Processing operations are now carried out indoors, and the content of vitamin D2 in the raw material algae has become even lower. In fact, according to the 4th edition of the Japanese Standard Food Composition Table, the content of vitamin D2 in algae is zero.

Ultraviolet rays of 280 to 320 nm do not generate heat upon irradiation, and since the wavelength is longer than lJ, which has an erythema effect, there is generally no change in the appearance of the MR surface, and algae with an appropriate amount of moisture can be irradiated and dried. It creates a glossy surface. Further, it is preferable that the irradiation makes the algae into thin leaves and the moisture content is 80% or less. This is because when there is a lot of moisture, ultraviolet rays are absorbed by the water on the surface of the algae.

Judging from the above examples, if you use a commercially available health line lamp to irradiate the above-mentioned algae as a thin leaf after drying it appropriately, you will not lose the vitamin 8 contained in the algae and the ergosterol that the algae has. can be easily activated to form vitamin D2, which has become an effective means of quality improvement, especially for operations carried out indoors for the processing of algae for clean and homogeneous food, especially in recent years. It can be easily understood from the above examples that it is suitable as a useful processing method that is not affected by the weather in terms of production. High inorganic content (4δ)
It has become clear that the presence of vitamins 1 and 2 in the nutritional cycle of calcium is extremely self-help, and can provide valuable health foods.
