[Detailed Description of the Invention] The present invention relates to an inch cable of a control cable in which an inner cable is slidably inserted into an outer tube to transmit operating force in both directions (push and pull) or in either direction. This invention relates to an inner cable having a space large enough to become an oil reservoir.

Inch cables for control cables have various structures, but as illustrated in Figures 3 and 4, a large number of side wires C made of solid or stranded wires are arranged around a core wire made of solid wires or stranded wires. The spirally wound strand cable a is most widely used because it has excellent flexibility and has low sliding resistance with the outer tube d.

However, in such a strand cable a, the space C formed between the adjacent side wires C, C and the outer tube d is small, so the amount of lubricating oil such as grease is small, and it can be used for a relatively short time. may run out of oil, causing abnormal wear and malfunction.

On the other hand, a guarded cable in which one side wire is spirally wound around a core wire made of a single wire or a stranded wire at intervals is also used as an inner cable of a control cable, and this has a large space between the side wires. Although it has the advantage of being able to be filled with a large amount of lubricating oil, the high contact surface pressure against the inner surface of the outer tube prevents smooth sliding, and since there is only one side wire, it immediately becomes inoperable if it is cut. It has the disadvantage of being unreliable.

The present invention eliminates such drawbacks, has a large space in which the outer circumferential surface can be sufficiently filled with lubricating oil, and has a low contact surface pressure with respect to the outer tube.
The purpose is to provide a highly reliable inner cable.

An embodiment of the present invention will be described below with reference to FIGS. 1 and 2.

In the figure, reference numeral 1 denotes an inner cable of the present invention, in which a core wire 11 made of a single wire is surrounded by six main side wires 12 made of a solid wire with a diameter slightly smaller than that of the core wire 11, and the main side wires 12 have a diameter of 12.
The six sub-side wires 13, which are equal to or less than half of the number of sub-side wires 13, are alternately and closely spirally wound so that adjacent side wires are in line contact with each other.

When this inch cable 1 is passed through the outer tube 2, a large space C is created between the inch cable 1 and the outer tube 2 because the adjacent main side wires 12 and 12 are spaced apart in the circumferential direction due to the interposition of the small diameter secondary side wires 13. It is composed.

In the above, swaging (sw) is applied to the outer circumference of the main side track 12.
By smoothing the outer tube 2 by applying aging, it is possible to lower the contact surface pressure with respect to the outer tube 2, reduce sliding friction with the core wire 11, and improve flexibility.

Further, a stranded wire obtained by twisting a large number of fine copper wires together may be used as the core wire 11, the main side wire 112 and the sub side wire 13, and two or more sub side wires 13 may be used between the adjacent main side wires 12 and 12.
You can also wrap it around.

As specifically explained in the above embodiment, the inch cable of the control cable of the present invention has an inner cable that is slidably inserted into the outer tube to transmit operating force in both directions of pushing and pulling, or in either one of them. In the inner cable of the control cable, a plurality of main side wires spaced apart from each other and sub side wires having a smaller diameter than the main side wires interposed between the side wires of each type are spirally arranged around a core wire made of a single wire or a stranded wire. The gist is that the outer tube is wound, and since a small-diameter secondary side wire is interposed between adjacent main side wires, the main side wires are spaced apart in the circumferential direction and a large space is formed between them and the outer tube. It can be filled with a sufficient amount of lubricating oil and can be used for long periods of time without lubrication.Furthermore, unlike conventional strand cables, many side wires are wrapped around the core wire, so one The contact surface pressure with the outer tube is lower than that of a guarded cable with spirally wound side wires, and even if one of the side wires is cut, it will not immediately become unusable, resulting in excellent operability and reliability. This effect is achieved.
