Traditionally, potted plants such as orchids and Saintpaulia and -
Watering, hydroculture, soil, etc. are used for potting, but these planting materials are lightweight and have excellent water retention properties that allow them to constantly supply sufficient water to the roots even if the watering interval is long. It is required to supply nutrients necessary for growth, prevent the proliferation of pathogenic microorganisms, and have good appearance (e.g., no peeling, no odor, etc.). Including materials had not yet been provided.

Since the pulp and woody part of palm are fibrous, and the interfiber tissue has a spongy porous structure, the present inventor focused on the possibility of using the plant as an implant material, and applied various treatments to it. As a result, he discovered that by squeezing the interfiber tissue without damaging the fibers, an excellent implant material with improved water retention and other properties could be obtained. It is something to be crushed.

According to the present invention, the fibers are not damaged, the interfiber tissue becomes dense, and the ability to bind fiber bundles is not lost, so it is restored by water supply, water retention is significantly improved, and permanent An excellent implant material that can be used for Furthermore, because the interfiber tissue decomposes slowly,
It supplies nutrients necessary for plant growth and prevents the growth of pathogenic microorganisms.

The implant material according to the present invention is obtained by compressing the pulp or woody part of a palm tree to about 1/3 to 1/10 in a direction perpendicular to the fiber bundle direction. At this time, there is no problem even if the fruit skin or bark parts are mixed in. The pressed material is then cut.

The degree of cutting varies depending on the type of plant, ranging from something close to powder to something up to 3 cm in diameter. In some cases, pumice stone may be added or other nutrients may be supplemented.

以下、実施例を挙げて本発明の詳細な説明する。Hereinafter, the present invention will be explained in detail by giving Examples.

Example 1 The pulp layer from which seeds and seed shells were removed from a coconut fruit was compressed to about 115 mm in a direction perpendicular to the fiber bundle.

Next, this was cut into pieces with an average diameter of about 2 cm, and used as implantation material for Cadrea. This planting material simply needed to be watered and planted, and there was no need to wrap it around the roots like a water trough. With watering once every three days, the plant grew well and opened large flowers.

Example 2 The pulp of a coconut from which seeds and seed shells have been removed is squeezed,
It was cut to an average diameter of about 0.2 cm. Separately, the woody part is about 1/
3, and cut into pieces with an average diameter of about 0.2 cm. The same amounts of these were mixed to obtain a monthly planting material for Saintpaulia. When watered and planted, the root crown was not damaged and the roots (=J) were strong and grew well.Unlike soil, it had a good appearance and had the advantage of being easy to handle without getting your hands dirty when caring for it.

Comparative Example 1 The pulp of a coconut was cut into pieces and then pressed to obtain a monthly fee for planting. Those that were cut into large pieces had lower water retention than untreated ones, and those that were cut into smaller pieces not only had lower water retention, but also flowed out every time water was supplied, making them unusable.
