Abstract
PURPOSE: To keep a voice high-quality by segmenting a residual signal waveform in a prescribed section not longer than a pitch period in the case of a residual signal having periodicity and outputting this waveform as voice information of a time section together with a parameter indicating a spectrum envelope and the pitch period. CONSTITUTION: A spectrum envelope parameter extraction part 2 extracts a spectrum envelope parameter from an original voice signal, and a reverse filter part 22 takes out a residual signal from the original voice signal. A periodicity discrimination part 23 discriminates periodicity of the residual signal; and if it has periodicity, the pitch period is outputted, and a residual segmenting part 25 segments a continuous signal waveform within the time of the pitch period from the residual signal in this case and outputs it as a sound source waveform. At the time of synthesizing a voice from this voice information, the sound source waveform is inputted to a periodic sound source generation part 31, and a signal obtained by repeating the signal of the sound source waveform with the pitch period is generated as a sound source signal, and this signal is caused to pass a synthesizing filter 33 constituted with the spectrum envelope parameter. Thus, the quality of the synthesized voice is improved.
