Abstract

PURPOSE:To make elements uniform and to reduce current limiting value by providing superconductive material to zigzag channels on a substrate, mounting terminals on rear spring supporters of a zigzag part in parallel respectively and making them of input and output terminals by binding them at the ends of a parallel part. CONSTITUTION:Channels 7 are provided on a substrate 5, in which thick film- like materials representing a superconductive characteristic in excess of the temperature of liquid nitrogen of 77K such as Y-Ba-Cu-O are inserted and constitute elements 6. Terminals 2a and 2b that thick film-like materials are inserted into the channels similarly are connected to parts of rear spring supporters 1a and 1b linking a parallel section 6a. Terminals 2a and 2b are bound at the ends of the parallel section. In case short-circuit accidents occur, the current rapidly increases, and the phase transfer of terminals 2a and 2b to a normal conduction is firstly made. At this time, terminals 3 and 4 connected to zigzag end sections are kept their superconductive conditions without making phase transfer. As a result, the current flows in series through a part of zigzag construction from terminals 3 and 4.
