Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent cross current from being generated without a commutation circuit, by controlling thyristors with gate signal synchronized with current phase when there is a phase difference between voltage and current, and synchronized with voltage phase when there is no phase difference and when current is zero. CONSTITUTION:From a commercial power source 3, current is fed to a load 9 via SCR 6, 7. From the current detecting circuit 10 of a control circuit 1, according to the positive or negative of the direction of current detected by a current transformer 8, the output of levels H, L is directed to a change-over circuit 13.
