Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent a driver from dozing to contribute toward safe running by causing an identifying device provided in an automobile to identify left and right white-colored lines indicating the travelling division bands on a road and sound an alarm when the automobile is running deflected toward one of left and right white-colored lines. CONSTITUTION:A warning unit 4 consisting of a white line identifying sensor 5, a distance comparator or pattern identifying device 6 and an alarming buzzer 7 is provided in the front position of an automobile 3 to prevent a driver from dozing. The unit 4 in travelling is caused to identify left and right white-colored lines 1, 2 including dotted lines and drawing on a superhighway or the like to indicated travelling division bands for sounding an alarming buzzer 7 when the identified white-colored line position is deflected from a predetermined range so that a driver wake up from his dozing condition to ensure safety in the travelling. For the white-colored line identifying sensor 5 is an infrared ray system reflection photoelectric tube, image identifying camera or the like, is used.
