Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain radio wave absorbent wherein heat resistance is large, weathering properties are excellent, and change with time is little, by dispersing and mixing powder of lossy material for radio wave in an inorganic porous base material. CONSTITUTION:Inorganic material such as calcium silicate, lime, ALC, frothing concrete and light concrete is used as a base material. One or more kinds of powder selected from the following are added as radio wave lossy material; carbon, ferrite and carbonyl iron. As to requirements for facilities of formation and application, light weight, and the like, the density of base material is desired to be equal to or less than 0.5g/cm<3>. This radio wave absorbent is excellent in heat resistance, and does not generate poisonous gas at the time of flame generation.
