Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain an always specified discharge rate of paint even at the time of changing colors by detecting the density of fluid flowing in a mass flow meter, calculating the volume flow rate from the mass flow rate and density and controlling a regulator in accordance with the volume flow rate. CONSTITUTION:The mass flow rate is detected by a Coriolis flow meter which is the mass flow meter 4 and the fluid density is simultaneously detected in a control device for the discharge rate of paint. The result of the detection is inputted to a control means 2 and the volume flow rate is calculated by the computation of mass flow rate/fluid density. The regulator 9 is controlled in accordance with this volume flow rate. As a result, the volume flow rate is not affected even if the density of the fluid flowing in the mass flow meter 4 changes and, therefore, the disturbance in the discharge rate of the push out paint is obviated even if a cleaning liquid arrives at the mass flow meter 4 at the time of push out. The always specified discharge rate of the paint is obtd. even if the paint colors are changed.
