Abstract
PURPOSE:To accelerate the reflux of a molten steel and to improve vacuum degassing treatment capacity by blowing gases for reflux of the molten steel under different gas pressures from the respective systems of gas blowing nozzles to a suction pipe immersed into the molten steel. CONSTITUTION:The suction pipe and discharge pipe of a vacuum vessel are immersed into the molten steel in a container for molten steel such as ladle and the gases for reflux of the molten steel are blown through the plural gas blowing nozzles into the suction pipe to cause the reflux of the molten steel to the vacuum vessel, by which the vacuum degassing is executed. The gas blowing nozzles provided to the suction pipe 4 of the above-mentioned reflux type degassing device are separated to the two systems; 1st and 2nd blowing nozzles 10, 11, disposed in the upper and lower positions. Furthermore, the pressure of the gas to be supplied to the 2nd blowing system is set higher than the pressure of the gas to be supplied to the 1st blowing system 10. The gas for reflux is thereby made to arrive at the central area in the section of the suction pipe 4 by which the reflux of the molten steel is accelerated and the degassing treatment capacity of the device is enhanced.
