Abstract
PURPOSE:To efficiently produce a casting having good quality by arranging porous filter to runner part, gate part, etc., in a metallic mold and straightening molten metal flow poured. CONSTITUTION:In the metallic mold 6, a sprue 1, cavities 2, 2 at both sides thereof and runner part 7 and gate part 8 for communicating them are arranged and the filters 9 in the runner part 7 and the gate part 8 are arranged. Then, at the time of pouring the molten metal from the sprue 1 at high speed, enclosing of oxide, gas, etc., caused by turbulent flow developed at the runner part 7 and the gate part 8 can be prevented by the porous filter 9. Further, as the turbulent flow is straightened by the filter 9, lower of the pouring speed can be prevented.
