Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent eccentric wear of a bearing for a movable clamp arm by using an even number of springs energizing the movable calmp arm, and by arranging in line symmetry about supporting arms whereon the clamp arm is installed. CONSTITUTION:A spider 1 to be rotationally driven has four supporting arms 1a, 1b, 1c, 1d extending in four directions. A movable clamp arm 3 is rotatably mounted on the supporting arm 1a through a bearing 2, and at the undersurface of this movable clamp arm 3 a pad 4 is fixed in contact with the side face of a pane 12. Two compression springs 6 are arranged between a spring receipt 5 fixed to supporting arm 1a and the movable clamp arm 3, and the pad 4 is energized inward by the compression springs 6. A fixed clamp arm 7 and a balancer 8 are fixed to the supporting arm 1b, and at the undersurface of this fixed clamp arm 7 a pad 9 is fixed to mate with the side face of the abovementioned panel 12. Here the movable clamp arm 3, pad 4 compression springs 6, fixed clamp arm 7, balancer 8, and pads 9, 11 are arranged in line symmetry about the supporting arms 1a, 1c.
