Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain a vehicular interior trim excellent in abrasion resistance by needle punching and entangling a front surface layer comprising a web such as synthetic fibers having a specific melting point with a back surface layer comprising a web containing synthetic fibers having a slightly lower melting point than that of the above synthetic fibers and impregnating the back surface layer with a resin. CONSTITUTION: This vehicular interior trim material 14 is obtained by laminating a fibrous web 11 consisting essentially of thermoplastic fibers having >=210 deg.C melting point (e.g. polyester fibers) as a front surface layer onto a fibrous web 12 containing 20-50 wt.% of thermoplastic synthetic fibers having <=180 deg.C melting point (e.g. polypropylene fibers) and 50-70 wt.% of thermoplastic fibers having >=210 deg.C melting point (e.g. the polyester fibers) and having the Metsuke (mass per unit area) of >=1.5 times based on that of the fibrous web 11 in the front surface layer as a back surface layer, carrying out the needle punching from the front surface layer side to the back surface layer side, entangling the fibrous webs, forming a nonwoven fabric, then impregnating the back surface of the resultant nonwoven fabric with an emulsion compound 13 having a vinyl chloride component and an ethylene vinyl acetate copolymer component so as to provide the resin solid content of 15-150 wt.% based on the fibrous webs 11 and 12.
