Abstract

PURPOSE:To form a connecting part having good superconductive characteristics by attaching end surfaces of oxide superconductive matters to be connected to each other, and by heating the end surfaces in a nonoxidizing atmosphere while pressing the attached surfaces to each other to connect them, and heat- treating the connected part in an oxidizing atmosphere. CONSTITUTION:End surfaces of oxide superconductive matters to be connected are attached to each other, and they are heated in nonoxidizing atmosphere while the attached surfaces are pressed to each other, so the end surfaces are sintered or fused, where crystals of oxide superconductive matters are integrated with each other mechanically. This means that formation of oxides to contaminate the connected part as impurities is eliminated. In addition, because the part is heat-treated in an oxygen-containing atmosphere subsequently, the superconductive characteristics of the part is improved. Oxide superconductive matters can thus be connected with each other without deteriorating continuity for superconductive matter.
