Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve the efficiency of transmission by obtaining a retransmission ratio at each prescribed time and deciding frame length dynamically so as to reduce the retransmission ratio. CONSTITUTION:A retransmission ratio calculation means 2 obtains a retransmission ratio of frame retransmission at each prescribed time, a frame length deciding means 3 increases by the frame length by a prescribed value when the obtained retransmission ratio is a specified value or below and decreases the frame length by a prescribed value when the length exceeds the specified value thereby deciding the frame length at each prescribed time so that the retransmission ratio is reduced. Thus, the frame length is optimized frame length in matching with the quality of a line and a high-order level processing means 6 improves the transmission efficiency without requiring the revision of processing.
