In conventional DIN connector sockets of this type, in which the plug insertion/removal direction is almost the same as the terminal protrusion direction, the body of the socket is covered with a metal cover to shield the socket from electrostatic discharge from the outside. There is a structure. However, the L-shaped socket does not have a metal cover on its body, and only when a mating plug is inserted, the inside of the body is shielded from the outside by the metal cylindrical cover of the mating plug. However, when the plug is not inserted, the inside of the body is not shielded. Recently, as electronic devices become more sophisticated, it is desired that electrostatic shielding be performed even when a plug is not inserted.

The purpose of this invention is to provide shielding even when the plug is not inserted, and because this is installed, there is no need to make a ground connection between the chassis and the wiring board, and the noise coming through the connecting conductor is passed through the feed-through capacitor. It provides a connector socket that can be grounded.

The connector socket according to this invention constructed as described above has a wiring board 4 as shown in FIG.
Terminal 16, grounding terminal 28 and grounding piece 5
2 are inserted and connected to the wiring, respectively. Therefore, the direction in which the plug is inserted and removed is parallel to the wiring board 45. Further, the square collar 24 is fixed to the chassis 46 with screws through mounting screw holes 30. Through this connection, the chassis 46 and the cylindrical body 21 are electrically connected, and the cylindrical body 21, the metal band 26, and the ground terminal 28 are sequentially electrically connected to the ground conductor of the wiring board 45. In other words, the wiring board 45
By attaching this connector, the ground conductor of the wiring board 45 and the chassis 46 are automatically connected to each other, and there is no need to connect the ground conductor of the wiring board 45 and the chassis 46 with a separate connection line. Furthermore, like this, the cylindrical body 21
The ground plate 51 is electrically grounded to the ground conductor of the wiring board 45 and the chassis 46, and the cylindrical body 21
shields most of the body 11 and surrounds the outer periphery, and further covers a part of the body 11 with a grounding plate 51, so that electrostatic shielding for the inside of the body 11 is performed. Further, noise entering the connector socket through the connecting conductor is dropped to the ground plate 51 through the feedthrough capacitor 57. Therefore, the connector socket becomes less susceptible to noise. Of course, when a plug is inserted into this socket, the outer metal cover of the plug is inserted into the cover insertion part 22, and at this time, the inner peripheral surface of the cylinder body 21 and the outer peripheral surface of the metal cover come into contact with each other, and the tongue The piece 23 elastically contacts the outer peripheral surface of the metal cover of the plug, so that the ground of the metal cover of the plug and the socket are well electrically connected to each other.

Moreover, the metal cylindrical body 21 is integrally formed with the rectangular brim 24 by drawing processing,
On the other hand, a metal band 26 is attached to its outer periphery, the cylindrical body 21 is passed over the front part 12 of the body 11, the end is inserted into the holding groove 18, and the caulked part 31a is inserted into the caulked recess 32. The cylindrical body 21 and the body 11 can be easily fixed to each other by caulking, and then, with the contacts 15 inserted into the contact receiving holes 14 from the back side of the body 11, the base 34 is positioned so that each terminal portion 16 is positioned. The base 34 is coupled to the body 11 so that the base 34 is inserted through the hole 41 and the ground terminal 28 is passed through the slit 42. At that time, the engaging claw 37 and the engaging recess 38
The two are connected to each other by a convex-concave fit. The ground plate 51 is attached to the base 34 by simply press-fitting the convex portion 55 into the attachment hole 53. Thereafter, the feedthrough capacitor 57 is inserted onto the terminal portion 16. In this way, the entire assembly is extremely simple. In the above description, the cylindrical body 21 and the band 26 are constructed as separate bodies, but they may be integrated and the tongues extruded from the cylindrical body. The metal cover insertion portion 22 is not necessarily limited to a cylindrical shape, but is configured to correspond to the metal cover of the mating plug, such as a square cylindrical shape.
