Abstract

PURPOSE: To easily move the main body of cleaner in the direction, where a suction hose is pulled by traveling the main body of cleaner through a traveling direction and steering a steering means to turn the traveling direction toward the lead-out direction of the suction hose detected by a direction detecting means. CONSTITUTION: Outside a main body 1 of cleaner having a motor-driven air blower 2 and a dust collection chamber 3, a suction hose 6 is led out. Besides, the main body 1 of cleaner is driven and self-traveled by traveling means 8 and 11-13 and the traveling direction of the main body of cleaner is changed by a steering means 14. Further, at a direction detecting means 5, the lead-out direction of the suction hose 6 from the main body 1 of cleaner is detected and the steering means 14 is controlled in the lead-out direction of the suction hose 6. As a result, the main body of cleaner can be easily moved in the direction, where the suction hose is pulled, without requiring any excess power for moving the main body of cleaner.
